- JGFOOD is the recommended Eitr food mod for Galdramaðr (Sorcerer), Seiðmaðr (Shaman), and Nás-galdra-maðr (Necromancer) progression. JGFOOD was specifically designed to complement JGRPG's class progression and works alongside it without modifications. Other Eitr food mods can be used as alternatives, but JGFOOD is the preferred option for the intended JGRPG experience.
Classes
Huscarl (Tank)
A defensive class focused on armor, blocking, damage reduction, taunting enemies, and protecting nearby allies.
Recommended Equipment
- Armor: Heavy armor for maximum protection and survivability.
- Weapons: One-handed swords, clubs, maces, or axes.
- Off-Hand: Shields, particularly tower shields for maximum blocking protection.
- Playstyle: Frontline defender focused on absorbing damage, blocking attacks, and protecting allies.
Abilities
- Provoke - Taunts nearby enemies and forces their attention onto the Tank.
- Fortify - Temporarily increases the Tank's durability and reduces the stamina cost of blocking.
- Thunderclap - Unleashes a close-range lightning attack that damages nearby enemies.
- Guardian's Rally - Protects nearby allies by reducing the damage they take.
- Odin's Glare - Staggers nearby enemies, creating an opening for the Tank and their allies.
Einherjar (Berserker)
An aggressive melee class focused on melee damage, attack speed, Rage, low-health bonuses, and powerful close-range abilities. Supports swords, axes, clubs, knives, spears, polearms, and fists/fist weapons.
Recommended Equipment
- Armor: Medium or heavy armor, depending on your preferred balance of mobility and protection.
- Weapons: Two-handed axes, swords, and clubs. Can utilize dual-wield weapons or other melee weapons but may not get full ability utilization.
- Playstyle: Aggressive melee combat focused on high damage, attack speed, and overwhelming enemies.
Abilities
- Rage - Temporarily increases melee damage by 50%, movement speed by 20%, and two-handed attack speed by 20% at the cost of taking increased damage.
- Whirlwind - Spins through nearby enemies, dealing weapon damage in an area around the Berserker.
- Fury - Prevents the Berserker's health from falling below a temporary health floor while disabling health regeneration.
- Vorpal - Greatly increases melee damage and allows attacks to execute weakened enemies.
- Thor's Hammer - Temporarily increases melee damage and converts physical weapon damage into Lightning damage.
Veiðimaðr (Ranger)
A ranged class focused on bows and crossbows, mobility, Hunter's Mark, explosive attacks, rapid fire, party buffs, and spear training as a melee backup option.
Recommended Equipment
- Armor: Light armor for mobility, with armor offering bow-related bonuses particularly useful.
- Weapons: Bows and crossbows.
- Secondary Weapons: Spears for close-range combat.
- Playstyle: Ranged damage dealer focused on mobility, precision, and maintaining distance from enemies.
Abilities
- Hunter's Mark - Marks an enemy, causing it to take increased damage.
- Explosive Shot - Temporarily causes ranged attacks to explode and damage enemies around the target.
- Rapid Shot - Rapidly fires a volley of arrows or bolts at reduced damage per shot.
- Ranger's Rally - Buffs nearby allies with increased stamina regeneration, attack speed, and movement speed.
- Ullr's Quiver - Temporarily fires multiple arrows or bolts with each ranged attack.
Níðingr (Rogue)
A stealth-focused melee class centered on daggers, Sneak, mobility, poison damage, and burst attacks.
Recommended Equipment
- Armor: Light armor, preferably with bonuses to Sneak or movement speed.
- Weapons: Knives and daggers.
- Playstyle: Stealth-focused assassin specializing in positioning, backstabs, poison, and burst damage.
Abilities
- Vanish - Drops enemy aggro and conceals the Rogue from enemies until the effect expires or the Rogue breaks stealth.
- Backstab - Delivers a powerful dagger attack that staggers the target when striking from behind.
- Fan of Knives - Spins and throws knives outward, damaging all nearby enemies.
- Shadow Walk - Teleports behind a targeted enemy and delivers a powerful dagger strike.
- Loki's Gambit - Rapidly teleports between nearby enemies while delivering a series of powerful dagger strikes.
Galdramaðr (Sorcerer)
A magic-focused class centered on Eitr, elemental damage, spell channeling, battlefield control, and powerful area attacks. Sorcerers can cast abilities while unarmed or wielding magic staves. From Mistlands onward, magic staves become the primary equipment for damage progression, increasing ability damage based on the equipped staff's progression tier. Magic staves do not reduce spell channeling time.
Recommended Equipment
- Armor: Player's choice until the Mistlands, then Eitr-focused mage armor for the remainder of the game.
- Weapons: Elemental magic staves.
- Early Progression: Abilities can only be used unarmed before magic staves become available.
- Playstyle: Offensive spellcaster specializing in elemental damage, spellcasting, and battlefield control.
