DynamicStorage Mead Hall adds functional, themed storage for Valheim's meads, starting with configurable mead kegs that visually match the drink stored inside.

Each keg is restricted to a single supported finished mead at a time, with a configurable Quick Grab so there is no hunting through boxes — just grab a round and go.

BepInEx ConfigDrawers by Vapok is not required, but is highly recommended if you want to dive into the customisation options in DynamicStorage Mead Hall.

ConfigDrawers provides a much cleaner in-game interface for browsing and adjusting configuration options.

It is particularly useful for:

• Searching configuration options
• Collapsing sections you are not currently using
• Adjusting appearance values while in-game
• Quickly finding the settings you want to change

More Than Just Kegs

The keg is only the starting point. DynamicStorage Mead Hall is intended to grow into a collection of useful cosmetic and thematic additions for your mead hall, tavern or drinking area — decorative pieces that still serve a practical purpose.

Planned ideas include:

• Dynamic mead menus that visually update to show available drinks
• Coasters and small serving displays that act as tiny storage for a single mead
• More bar, serving and display pieces

The goal is a mead hall that feels more alive and useful without filling it with purely decorative clutter.

Keg Behaviour

An empty keg can accept any supported finished mead.

The first mead inserted assigns the keg to that drink, and other mead types or non-mead items are rejected while it contains items.

Empty the keg completely to clear its assignment and use it for another mead.

Labels can also be fixed to a specific drink for decorative or organisational setups.

Quick Grab

Quick Grab allows you to take a configurable amount of mead directly from a keg without opening its inventory.

Use:

Shift + E

while looking at a Mead Keg.

The amount taken can be configured in the mod settings.

This is designed for mead halls, taverns and communal storage areas where you want to quickly grab a drink without opening and managing the full container inventory.

Server Configuration

Storage capacity is server-synchronised.

Reducing capacity will not delete existing items.

A keg keeps enough inventory space for its current contents until they fit within the newly selected limit.

For example, if a keg currently contains items using more slots than the new configured capacity allows, that individual keg remains large enough to safely hold its contents.

Once enough items are removed, it can return to the server-selected storage size.

Appearance settings remain separate from the server-controlled storage capacity.
