StarTrophies

StarTrophies gives 1-star (★) and 2-star (★★) creatures their own trophies. A starred trophy keeps the creature's in-game star look, is bigger on item stands, and is worth more. In exchange, trophies from ordinary creatures drop less often, so every trophy feels earned.

🌟 Features

• Star trophies for 67 creature types. Every regular creature trophy gets a ★ and a ★★ version, created automatically from the vanilla trophy.
• Native star colors. Trophies copy the creature's own star tint (hue, saturation, value, emission).

Creatures whose stars are shown by a separate effect get it too: the Surtling trophy burns with blue fire at ★ and purple fire at ★★.

• Bigger on stands and in the world. Size multiplier per star tier (default 1.15× / 1.4×).
• Worth more. Value multiplier per star tier (default ×2 / ×4).
• Rarer common trophies. Base trophy drop chance is capped at 5% (configurable):
• Creatures whose vanilla chance is already ≤ 5% are left alone.
• Bosses and guaranteed (100%) trophies are never touched. That covers Hildir's quest creatures, Kvastur and the white deer.
• Since Valheim 1.0.20, starred creatures get a higher trophy chance (×2 at ★, ×4 at ★★, still one trophy). StarTrophies keeps this vanilla behavior, which gives about 5% / 10% / 20%.
• Works with Valheim's pseudo-random drop protection, so there are no endless dry streaks.
• The Resources world modifier does not change trophy drops.
• Multiplayer and item stands. Star trophies keep their tier when dropped, picked up, or placed on and removed from item stands.

📦 Installation

Mod manager (recommended)

Install with r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager. Dependencies are installed automatically.

Manual

1. Install BepInExPack Valheim and Jötunn, the Valheim Library.
2. Put StarTrophies.dll into Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/.

Multiplayer

Install the mod on the server and on every client, so everyone sees the same star trophies and drop chances.

🛠️ Compatibility

• Built and tested on Valheim 1.0.20.
• Works with item-stand mods such as ItemStandAllItems.
• Removing the mod: star trophies you already own (in inventories, chests or on stands) are mod items and will disappear if the mod is uninstalled.
