About Outfitter 6 slots
From ThunderstoreTenemo's six-slot armor-stand storage fork of miikeskii's Outfitter. Matching server/client installation; original source and GPL-3.0 credits included.
Outfitter 6 slots
Saved loadouts and armor-stand equipment swaps for Valheim, retaining the existing inventory and EquipmentAndQuickSlots integration. The fork stores all six wearable positions, including a trinket and utility items without attachment models. It preserves complete native item data, including enchantments, sockets and item identity.
Published as Tenemo-Outfitter_6_slots, version 0.7.0. This is Tenemo's GPL-3.0 fork of miikeskii's Outfitter, not an upstream release. The original project is credited as the source, not presented as this fork's homepage. Full attribution and the pinned source revision are in CREDITS.md and upstream-source.txt.
Install the matching package on the server and every client. The original standalone plugin and bundled implementation cannot run beside this fork. The in-game Outfitter window, tenemo.outfitter plugin identity and saved-data format stay unchanged.
Equipment storage
Ordinary player-built armor stands retain native displays for supported equipment. Trinkets and utility items such as Wishbone and Wisplight are stored without a model; the stand panel shows their icons, names and tooltips. Stored equipment is distinguished from a loadout reference. The invisible utility storage and native belt attachment share one position.
This pack saves worn equipment, swaps gear only, puts outgoing gear onto the same stand, uses the native equip queue in both directions and matches saved item data, quality and variant. Missing requested gear cancels the outfit. Stand outfits use the selected stand and carried equipment by default; borrowing and nearby chest supply are off. The window's separate chest features remain available. An empty utility or trinket position removes the outgoing item and retains it on the stand.
Use Left Alt + E to swap and Left Alt + Left Shift + E to save. The window uses F4 with exactly its configured modifiers. The pack keeps Quick Stack, chest exclusion and existing quick-slot bindings.
Recovery and removal
Ordinary Use retrieves stand equipment, including the additional stored items, without equipping a loadout. This remains available when the loadout is deleted, unassigned or its interface is disabled. While looking at a stand, the outfitter-drain console command retrieves only its additional trinket and invisible utility item; native attachments and saved loadout recipes stay in place. Collect the resulting item drops.
Before removing or downgrading the fork, make a complete stopped-server/world backup. Retrieve all additional equipment, collect it and complete a clean character/world save. After the server is stopped, run python scripts/outfitter-storage.py <world-directory> from the pack repository, or python tools/outfitter-storage.py <world-directory> from the extracted release ZIP. The read-only audit examines every chunk of the latest completed world checkpoint, including unloaded stands. Do not remove the fork until occupied_slots is zero and the audit reports no errors. An unreadable record remains occupied and preserved until its problem is resolved. Older versions cannot recover these additional records. Character and world saves are separate; arbitrary power loss is not an atomic transaction.
How to use it
- Pick the cells to save: open your inventory, hold Right Alt and left-click the cells you want (an orange frame marks each; click again to unpick). Or, in Outfitter's window, press Show my inventory, then Highlight cells, and click the cells of your inventory there.
- Save: press F4 to open Outfitter's window, then Save new and give it a name. With cells of the loadout picked highlighted instead (Highlight cells, then click them in the loadout), Save new makes a new loadout of just those cells, each item where it sits. Save over replaces the loadout you've chosen with what's in the highlighted cells now; its food slots stay, with their rules, and of the foods you carry that the loadout doesn't name, the one each slot would take stays that slot's, not saved as an item (as an item it would keep every slot from it: you eat one of each); every other food is saved as usual. Anything else lying in a slot's cell is saved, and the slot moves to a free cell; it says so.
- Equip: choose a loadout and press Equip now. If some of it isn't in the chests nearby, a pop-up lists what, each item by its icon with how many and why (point at an icon for its name), and offers to equip what's here.
- Order: the loadout picked in the list shows ↑ and ↓: each moves it one place up or down.
- The same loadout again tops it up: 10 carrot soups saved and 3 carried, so 7 come from the chests.
- Share: Copy code puts the loadout on the clipboard as text to paste to a friend (it's too long for the game's chat, so paste it in Discord or Steam). Paste code makes a loadout from a friend's code. A code is only a list: it never makes an item, and anything your game doesn't have (another mod's item) shows as "not in your game".
- Rename and Delete change only the loadout, never any item.
The window shows the chosen loadout in its places: what isn't nearby in red, what it puts on in blue, a food slot in green, and what you'll carry afterwards (in red when it's over your carry weight). A button that would do nothing just now is faded almost away; one that acts on the cells you highlighted is lit orange; point at any button for a moment to read what it does (Hover help, a setting).
Copying cells
- Highlight cells turns highlighting on (the button stays lit while it is): a click on a cell of the loadout, or of your inventory beside the window, highlights it, or takes its highlight off. Press it again to go back to clicking a cell to change it. Highlights live in one grid at a time.
