Compatibility patch by Valyn_Mods for VikingCraftingAndQuickDeposit and WorkshopWorker. Version 1.0.5.

I made this patch because enabling both original mods could cause crafting to consume resources incorrectly or repeatedly craft until the inventory filled. It prevents the two mods from handling the same crafting cost twice, while keeping WorkshopWorker's interface and automation. It also separates their chest buttons: WorkshopWorker's Chest Rules / Sort row moves beside VikingCrafting's Sort Chest when space permits, or below the controls on narrow panels. Both chest Sort buttons now use WorkshopWorker's sorter, which merges compatible partial stacks before arranging items.

By default, this version uses Valheim's exclusive chest access for manual item clicks and Take All. VikingCrafting's simultaneous shared chest viewing is disabled while this option is on. To restore the previous shared chest behavior, set Chest transfers > Use native chest transfers to false in local.ValheimCraftingCompatibility.cfg and restart the game. Doing so also restores VikingCrafting's original Sort Chest behavior without stack merging; WorkshopWorker's Sort button still merges stacks.

Supports the original builds of these versions. New or modified builds require review before the patch can apply.

Installation

r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager: Update ValheimCraftingCompatibility to 1.0.5 with both required mods installed. Remove any local test import or older manual compatibility DLL from the same profile.

Manual / Nexus Mods: Install the requirements separately. Copy the archive's plugins/ValheimCraftingCompatibility.dll into BepInEx/plugins/ValheimCraftingCompatibility/.

Close Valheim before updating. Keep only one compatibility DLL installed. Remove the faulty 1.0.4 test build, older LocalPatch/local imports or manual duplicates. If an earlier patch replaced either author's DLL, restore that mod's original DLL first.

Check the patch

Look for COMPAT ACTIVE and COMPAT CHEST TRANSFERS ACTIVE in BepInEx/LogOutput.log. COMPAT GUI READY means the chest-layout adjustment initialized. A chest transfer warning leaves the crafting compatibility active.

Both visible Sort buttons use the same stack-merging action in this version. Chest Rules is WorkshopWorker's per-chest editor for remembered item types, stacking priority and labels; clicking it does not itself move items.

If you see COMPAT NOT APPLIED, disable WorkshopWorker's [Crafting] Enabled setting or disable one mod before crafting. The warning does not disable crafting automatically. A GUI warning leaves the crafting compatibility active.
