Nightfeeders MOD Description

Nightfeeders transforms Valheim's nights into a true horror survival experience every 5 days(Can be adjusted to daily if you like to shit bricks at night). As darkness falls, a thick blue mist creeps across the land, swallowing forests, meadows, and mountains alike. Hidden within it are The Night Feeders—twisted creatures driven by an insatiable hunger. Stronger, faster, and terrifyingly relentless, they don't simply attack... they hunt.

Inspired by the frantic terror of 28 Weeks Later, Night Feeders will spot you from afar, charge without hesitation, and pursue you with frightening determination. The moment they catch your scent, panic sets in. Running isn't always enough, and fighting often means risking everything.

Fire may be your only comfort. Most Night Feeders instinctively fear open flames, allowing a simple torch, campfire, or other source of fire to keep them at bay—at least for a while. A flickering flame can buy you precious seconds, forcing many of them to hesitate, retreat, or stalk you from the edge of the light. But don't grow too comfortable. Not every creature fears the fire. Some have long since embraced the darkness, and they'll charge straight through the flames without a second thought.

Killing a Night Feeder is no easy task. Ordinary weapons are little more than a delay. Their curse can only truly be broken by the first rays of direct sunlight at dawn, or by striking them in the head with a Fire Arrow or a Silver (Holy) Arrow. Miss your shot... and the hunt continues.

When the hunt begins, survival becomes your only objective. Climb high into the trees where their reach is limited, barricade yourself inside a cave, or pray your fire lasts until dawn. Every shadow within the blue mist could hide another predator, every distant scream could mean they're closing in, and every decision could be the difference between seeing the sunrise... or becoming their next meal.

The night is no longer just darker—it is consumed by a thick blue mist. It's alive, it's hungry... and it feeds.

Why This Mod? -

The Mist is designed for players who enjoy a slower, more immersive pace of survival. Instead of treating nighttime as just a darker version of the day, it becomes a dangerous period where preparation matters more than exploration.

The mod naturally slows progression by encouraging you to explore during the day and survive the night. But that doesn't mean you're forced to sit and wait. You can spend the evening expanding your base, crafting, farming, or building high above the ground building your dream Tree House or deep within the safety of underground Hobbit type Cave Houses if you are using the mod HeartBelow by Azumatt while the Night Feeders roam outside. And if you'd rather avoid the danger altogether, you can simply sleep through the night and continue your adventure at sunrise.

Every sunrise feels earned, every expedition requires planning, and every night becomes a story of survival.

Quick Tip -

Odin's Mystical Oak

Every Viking begins their journey and spawns with 1× Odin's Oak Seed.

This sacred seed can be planted to grow a Permanent Mystical Oak Tree, blessed by Odin himself. Its ancient aura repels most Night Feeders, creating a safe haven when the horrors of the night begin their hunt.

Most Nightfeeders weakness are headshots using fire or silver Arrows
