World Market

(This Mod Requires any type of Serverside Mod for Dedicated Servers)

Tired of hoarding 900 stacks of materials because “I might need them later”?

Welcome to the World Market — a player-driven marketplace where Vikings can buy, sell, and trade items without standing around yelling in chat like a medieval Facebook Marketplace seller.

List your unwanted gear, rare materials, resources, trophies, or whatever other questionable junk you've dragged back to base, set your price, and let another Viking take it off your hands.

Need something instead?

Open the market, search the listings, find what you want, and buy it directly from another player.

Simple.

No awkward meetups. No “bro where are you?” No sailing across three oceans for 20 Iron. No getting eaten by a Serpent halfway through the trade.

Just business.

The World Market gives your server its own living economy, allowing players to trade valuable resources, sell excess loot, hunt for bargains, and slowly become that one Viking who somehow owns everything.

UI Mode or NPC Mode

By default, players can access the World Market directly through the normal Market UI.

Admins also have access to a special Admin Settings menu that regular players cannot see.

From the Admin Settings, the server admin can enable NPC Mode, which disables normal player access through the UI and instead requires players to visit a physical Market NPC.

Once NPC Mode is enabled, admins can build and place Market NPCs wherever they want.

Want one giant trading hub in the middle of your capital?

Do it.

Want several Market NPCs scattered around different towns, biomes, or settlements?

Also do it.

Every Market NPC is connected to the same World Market, so no matter which one players visit, they will see the same listings, prices, sellers, and available items.

In other words, you can have ten different shops...

but they're all plugged into the same Viking economy.

Highly Customizable Categories

Market categories are highly configurable.

Server owners can organize what types of items appear in each category through the config, allowing the market to better fit their server's economy.

Want separate categories for weapons, armor, resources, trophies, food, materials, or your own custom setup?

Go wild.

The configs give you plenty of control over how the market is organized, what currencies can be used, and what players are allowed to trade.

Whether you're selling spare ore, buying hard-to-find materials, flipping items for profit, or charging absolutely criminal prices because the market allows it...

that's between you and Odin.

List it. Sell it. Buy it. Profit.

Welcome to the World Market.

Where one Viking's junk is another Viking's overpriced treasure.

How to Use

1. Open the World Market Use the Market UI button, or interact with a Market NPC if NPC Mode is enabled.

2. Browse the Market Use the categories or search bar to find items other players have listed.

3. Buy an Item Select a listing and purchase it using the currency requested by the seller.

4. Sell an Item Choose an item from your inventory, select the amount you want to sell, set your asking price, and create the listing.

5. Manage Your Listings Check your active listings and remove anything you no longer want to sell.

For Admins

Only admins can see the Admin Settings menu.

From there, you can enable or disable NPC Mode.

When NPC Mode is enabled, admins can place as many Market NPCs as they want around the world.

All Market NPCs are connected to the same shared World Market, meaning every location displays the same global listings.

That's it.

Open. Browse. Buy. Sell. Profit.
