Where your players connect from

How far the cities your players live in are from Beauharnois, CA. Closer usually means lower ping; real latency also depends on each player’s connection. Hover a city to see its route.

    Five-layer DDoS defense

    Lag-free, even under attack.

Game servers are DDoS magnets: a rival server, a banned player or a bored kid can flood yours. Every Nxeon game server sits behind the Nxeon Shield, so attack traffic is scrubbed before it ever reaches your world.

Diagram: traffic from the internet passes through Cloudflare, AWS Shield, Azure DDoS Protection, OVHcloud VAC and NX Sentinel. Attack traffic is removed at each layer, and only clean traffic reaches your isolated server.

Floods are absorbed across a planet-scale anycast network, hundreds of cities deep, long before they reach our regions.

    Before you deploy

The questions people ask right before they start.

    Is there a player limit?

Unlimited players: no slot limits from us, and set any max players in Settings. Every plan's player number is only a recommendation for smooth performance on that plan's memory and CPU; you set your server's own max players in Settings. No slot limits. Ever.

    Which size do I need?

Rust comes in 3 sizes: 4 GB (recommended for about 30 players) at $12.99 a month (first term, then $18.70), 6 GB (recommended for about 70 players) at $17.99 a month (first term, then $25.90) and 10 GB (recommended for about 140 players) at $29.99 a month (first term, then $43.18). The picker above recommends one for your player count and mods, and you can resize later.

    Will my server lag?

Your server runs on NVMe hardware in Beauharnois, CA, and the size picker recommends enough memory for your players and mods. If you grow, resize from the panel in a click.

What happens if my server gets attacked?

Every game server sits behind the Nxeon Shield: five layers of DDoS filtering that scrub attack traffic before it reaches your world.

    Are my worlds backed up?

Switch on scheduled backups in your server’s panel and it keeps the last 2 daily restore points, ready to roll back to.

Can I install mods and plugins?

Yes. Pick Vanilla or Oxide / uMod when you deploy, then add supported mods from NxLabs to your server in one click, or upload your own files.

    Can I change size later?

Yes. Resize from the panel whenever your community is ready.

Can I run Oxide plugins on my Rust server?

Yes. Pick the Oxide server type when you deploy and the Oxide framework is installed on first start. Then add uMod plugins from the Mods tab in one click. Carbon is not available on our servers yet.

Do you offer custom servers for big communities?

Yes. If you need more than 10 GB, a network of linked servers or dedicated hardware, talk to us and we’ll size and quote a custom setup.

    Can I cancel anytime?

    Yes. There’s no lock-in.
