About Difficulty Tweaks
From mod.ioCustomize health and damage handicaps, with some fixes and extra configurable tweaks.
Customize your health and damage handicaps, also with some spice baked in for some enemies and some consistency/fixes for some sources of damage. Fully configurable.
Custom Health and Damage Modifiers
Customize your experience with your own modifiers!
I went with 25% Less health and Damage on Casual, 15% More health and 25% More Damage on Standard, and 50% more health and damage for Hard, but you can change any value in health and damage (are separate values) to customize your experience.
I think 50% more damage and health is a good spot for veteran players that want still to get use of armor, and be not nearly forced into range play all the time.
These effects will also scale with the damage modifiers:
You could consider this a mix of a fix/consistency change.
- Burning Damage from Caveling Shaman, Lava Butterfly, Lava Slime and Malugaz the Corrupted.
- Thunder Beams from Azeos the Sky Titan (plus Easter Version) and Core Commander.
- Snare Damage from Snare Plants.
- Radioactive Damage from Radiation Crystals.
NOTE: Burning Damage and Radioactive Damage may not be effective on already existing mobs/crystals on ongoing games (their effects are saved).
Extra effects on some enemies
Just to add some extra spice. Effects are not too strong, but you can disable them if you find them annoying.
Caveling Brutes have a 8% Critical Chance.
Caveling Hunters have a 21% chance to stun you with a musket shot.
Electro-Pests have a 20% Chance to Stun you on melee hit.
Infected Cavelings have a 15% Increased Damage against Poisoned.
Sea Tentacles Hits slows you for 30% movement speed penalty for 4 secs (doesn't affect you while on boat).
Infected Mummies have a 17% Increased Damage against Poisoned.
Caveling Assasins have a 7% Dodge Chance.
Mimites have a 23% Chance to Stun you on melee hit.
Minor balance Tweaks
You can also disable all of these. To be fair is more about values I feel wrong with.
- 15% Less damage to Caveling Skirmishers: Just to ease up the first big damage bump on the game.
- 20% less health to Lava Butterflies. I think a burrefly shouldn't be as durable as the Lava Slimes.
- 50% more base health to Caveling Mummy. Is not too dangerous, at least could be more durable.
- Doubled the health of Omoroth's Tentacle : Didn't sit well with me that were less durable than normal tentacles...
- Doubled the damage of Ivy's Mortar Attack: Damage was totally off, less than normal azeos monsters and is easy to evade.
