Faster Mount Follow

Faster Mount Follow makes your commanded mounts actually keep up with you. No more tortoise-speed companions lagging behind while you explore, fight or flee.

Works with Core Keeper 1.3+, multiplayer and dedicated servers.

FEATURES

In vanilla, mounts set to "Follow" move at a fraction of your speed, constantly falling behind until they teleport or give up. This mod fixes that without touching stay or roam behaviour.

Your mount sprints to catch up when far away, then smoothly matches your pace when close. Fast when it matters, glued to you the rest of the time.

HOW IT WORKS

• Get on any mount and set it to "Follow".
• When you walk away, the mount accelerates hard to reach you.
• Once it's close, it eases back to a natural follow speed.
• No new keybinds, menus or setup.

DETAILS

Speed is dynamically scaled based on distance to the player:

• Far (> 8 tiles): up to 15x vanilla speed for instant catch-up.
• Close (< 2 tiles): 2x vanilla speed for smooth following.
• Between: smooth interpolation, no jitter, no overshoot.

Only affects mounts in Follow mode.
