Shredder Plus

This mod makes the shredder drop random loot instead of scrap parts, like decorations, cattle, downgraded ingots, and more.

Works on Core Keeper 1.3+, dedicated servers, and multiplayer.

FEATURES

Shredding in Core Keeper is simple: you put something in and get some scrap and basic resources back. Shredder Plus makes it way more interesting. Instead of just scrap, you get a random reward every time. It could be a decorative item, a farm animal, a lower‑tier ingot, a seasonal piece, a potion, a weapon… you never know what will come out until the shredder finishes. Over 50 different items have their own loot tables, so there's always something new to discover.

The shredder is now easier to get. You can craft it at the basic workbench and the advanced automation table, and the recipe costs only 25 Copper Bars. You don't need to wait until you have a full base; you can start recycling as soon as you have a bit of copper.

WHAT YOU CAN RECYCLE

• Recycle blocks, get decor: Dirt blocks, Clay blocks, Stone Blocks, Grass Blocks, Beach Blocks, Desert Blocks, Crystal Blocks, Fossil Blocks, Tuff Blocks, Moss blocks.
• Ingot Exchange: Relucite Bar -> 3 Pandorium Bars,  Pandorium Bar -> 3 Solarite Bars, Solarite Bar -> 3 Galaxite Bars, Galaxite Bar -> 3 Octarine Bars, Octarine Bar -> 3 Scarlet Bars, Scarlet Bar -> 3 Gold Bars, Gold Bar -> 3 Iron Bars, Iron Bar -> 3 Tin Bars, Tin Bar -> 3 Copper Bars, Copper Bar -> 1-3 Mechanical Parts and 1-3 Ancient Gemstones. There is a 50% chance of recovering the ore.
• Valuables, Adventurer Packs by Biome: Geode or Golden Starfish -> The Undergrounds Adventurer Pack, Grub Knot or Parasite Fossil -> The Clay Caves Adventurer Pack, Broken Core Idol or Adder Stone -> The Forgotten Ruins Adventurer Pack, Feather Fish Scale or Mold Shell -> Azeos' Wilderness Adventurer Pack, Bubble Pearl or Golden Neddle -> The Sunken Sea Adventurer Pack, Ancient Golden Coin or Starlight Shards -> The Desert of Beginnings Adventurer Pack, Deepspace Log or Catalyst Gemstone -> The Shimmering Frontier Adventurer Pack, Sahabar Idol -> Breakers Reach Adventurer Pack.
• Cicada Burrow: Gives 1 random (Colossal Cicada, Colossal Cicada Husk, Mold Cicada, Failed Titan).
• Glowbug (any color): Gives random seasonal decorations (Christmas, Halloween, etc.).
• Chest (the basic chest only): Gives random chest (boss chest and others, 50% chance of losing the chest).
• Cattle Exchange: Mushroom (Moolin), Fiber (Bambuck), Crystal Skull Shard (Strolly Poly), Ancient Feather (Dodo), Sea Shell (Kelple), Scarab Wingcover (Drohmble), Moss Mussroom (Orex).
  
  

HOW IT WORKS

• Craft the shredder in the basic workbench or advanced automation table.
• Add any supported item to the shredder, either manually or with a Robot Arm.
• Put some energy into it.
• Wait for it to finish shredding.
• Collect the results manually, with a Robot Arm, or with an Item Collector.
• Every output is random, so keep shredding to discover all the surprises.
