AI Raids V3 – Bandit Camps (October, 2026)

Your base is not safe anymore, and now the bandits live next door. Expansion AI bandits find out where players live and raid them. They come from real camps on the map, carry your loot home and store it in their crates. Want it back? Go and get it.

New in V3

 • Bandit camps: up to 5 persistent camps on the map (configurable), each with 3–6 bandits and a tougher leader. Camps survive server restarts.
 • Raids start from a camp: the raiders leave the nearest camp, march to your base and walk back afterwards.
 • Real loot transport: thieves carry what they stole (coins, weapons, ammo, …) to their camp and put it into the camp crates. Kill them on the way and the loot is on their bodies.
 • Locked crates: camp crates only open once every bandit of that camp is dead. They always hold a small base stock, plus everything the bandits stole. A cleared camp has a chance for bonus loot.
 • Camps move on: a cleared camp disappears 60 minutes later, but never while a player is close. A new camp appears somewhere else later.
 • Track them down: after a raid, the camp the bandits came from is revealed on the map (Expansion marker, or always / never).
 • Retaliation: a defended raid can be answered. With a chance (default 35 %), a stronger wave comes back 10–20 minutes later.
 • Mortar fire: retaliation waves open with a mortar barrage on your base: distant shots, whistle, real explosions. Get into cover.
 • Grenadiers: some bandits carry an M79 grenade launcher with explosive rounds.

How it works

 • Base detection
 •
• Players who spend time at the same place keep earning activity points: staying, opening doors, storing loot, crafting, building.
 • Once enough activity has built up, the place counts as a base, even if nothing is built yet.
 • Some places count as a base right away: a built flag pole, an Expansion territory, a few built base parts, or a locked house door.

Raids

 • On a configurable interval, every detected base with players present can be raided.
 • Each base has its own cooldown, and there is a server-wide cooldown as well.
 • Raids only happen while defenders are online and at their base.

The attack

 • The bandits leave their camp and move in on the base in formation. Without a camp in range they spawn nearby as before.
 • Close to the base, exactly one raider pulls out his wood axe and starts breaking the nearest locked door. The others spread out and cover him.
 • If the raider dies, another bandit takes over.
 • Looters search your containers and take what is configured: coins, weapons, ammo, anything you list.

Defend it

 • Shoot at the door he is breaking (or at him), and the raider runs for cover. He comes back a few seconds later.
 • Kill every bandit and the raid is stopped.

Lose it

 • Once they have enough loot, the bandits run home with it. Hunt them down before they reach their camp, or raid the camp later.
 • If all defenders are dead or gone, the bandits pull out.
Breachable doors

 • Vanilla fence gates with combination lock or the new vanilla code lock
 • Vanilla rebuildable house doors (e.g. Nasdara houses) with code lock or combination lock, wood and metal
 • Expansion BaseBuilding wall doors and gates with Expansion code lock

Broken locks drop to the ground ruined (or are deleted), and the door opens. Optionally the door part is destroyed instead.
