Build your workshop. Organise your supplies. Make your base feel like home.

KM VanillaPlus Base Item Pack brings craftable furniture, practical storage and a recipe-book crafting system to DayZ. Designed around a worn, vanilla-inspired look, the pack gives survivors more ways to furnish their base while giving server owners control over crafting, refrigeration, locks and bed respawning. Now works with DayZ-Expantion

Start with planks and nails, build your first workbench, and turn gathered materials into useful base equipment.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• Workbench — a dedicated crafting station with material and tool attachments.
• Crafting Book — a physical KM-branded book that attaches to the workbench and opens an illustrated recipe interface.
• Locker — organise clothing and equipment with visible attachment displays when open.
• Weapon Box — dedicated storage for your armoury.
• Medical Box — keep medical supplies together and easy to identify.
• General Storage — upgradeable storage with three levels.
• Box Shelf — organise compatible storage boxes on pull-out shelves.
• Fridge — battery-powered food storage with configurable temperature limits.
• Bed — furnish your base and add a claimable respawn point when using a supported spawn mod.
• Gun Wall Racks — inline and wide layouts for displaying your weapons.
• [*}Cabel Reel — two four way and two six way reels a set of 50m and 100m.
• [*}BatteryChargingStation — can charge four 9v battery, one car battery and one truck battery at the same time.

START CRAFTING BY HAND

You don't need a workbench to build your first workbench!

With the default settings, combine:

• 10 Planks
• 24 Nails

Craft the Workbench Kit, place it at your base, and you're ready to set up your workshop. No tool is required for this starting recipe.

Server owners can enable or disable hand crafting in Workbench.json using HandCraftEnabled. Material costs are configurable, so individual servers may use different recipes.

AN IN-GAME CRAFTING BOOK

Attach the DayZ Vanilla Base Items Crafting Book to your workbench and choose Check Recipes.

The book-style interface includes:

• Small item previews alongside each recipe.
• Required materials and quantities.
• Required tools and crafting time.
• Clickable recipe selection.
• Page navigation with page-turn sounds.
• Book opening and closing sounds.

Select a recipe and the book closes. Look at the workbench to use the corresponding Craft action once the required materials and tools are available.

The workbench kit can also be crafted at the bench. Its default bench recipe uses the same 10 planks and 24 nails, with no tool required.

STORAGE THAT FITS YOUR BASE

Keep clothing, weapons, medicine and building supplies organised with purpose-built furniture.

• Opening and closing storage interactions.
• Visible attachments for supported equipment and supplies.
• Upgradeable general storage.
• Compatible boxes organised on shelving.
• Furniture lifetime refresh near an active territory flag, within its protection radius.

BATTERY-POWERED REFRIGERATION

Give your food supplies a dedicated place in the base.

Server owners can configure Fridge.json with:

• BatteryClasses — supported battery classnames, including compatible modded batteries.
• MinTemperature — the lower temperature target.
• MaxTemperature — the upper temperature target.

The default temperature target is 4°C. While powered, the fridge brings stored items toward the configured range. Refrigeration requires a compatible battery with available power.

OPTIONAL LOCK SUPPORT

The pack includes optional integration for Code Lock , DayZ Expantion Code Lock and RA_CodeLock on supported storage.

The relevant lock mod must be installed to use its locks. These integrations are optional; the furniture pack does not require either lock mod for its basic features.

The pack's RA storage-lock integration includes configurable raiding settings, including whether raiding is enabled, its duration and accepted tools.

OPTIONAL BED RESPAWNING

Turn your bed into a personal respawn point with either supported integration:

• Bed-Respawning
• LBmaster Spawn Select

Bed respawning requires a supported spawn mod to be installed and configured. The bed remains available as furniture without one.

Server owners can configure respawn availability and cooldowns. BedClaims.json records the owner's Steam64 ID and in-game name to make claims easier to identify.

SERVER OWNER CONFIGURATION

JSON settings are stored in your server profile under:

KM_VanillaPlus_BaseItemPack

Configure crafting recipes, hand crafting, storage upgrades, fridge temperatures, accepted batteries, bed cooldowns and the pack's RA storage-raiding settings.

Automatic configuration upgrades add missing settings without replacing existing owner values or recipe lists. Before a supported JSON upgrade writes changes, the original file is backed up into the backups folder. Invalid files are preserved rather than silently overwritten.

Existing servers keep their configured recipes and costs when updating.
