KR Chat

Chat with channels, mutes, spam protection, player tags and a Discord chat log.

KR Chat replaces the vanilla chat feed with its own: a clean feed at the bottom left, channel selection, mutes and tags for admins, and anti-spam. Needs KR Core. With KR Party it also gets a Group channel and colored group tags.

Features

• Channels: Local (vanilla proximity chat), Global, Server announcements (admins only, shown as [Server] ... without the admin's name), and Group when KR Party is installed.
• Anti-spam: minimum interval, burst limit, no repeated text, message length limit.
• Chat history for the Global and Group channels is sent to a player who joins.
• Admin tools (admin mode, P > Chat): mute and unmute players for N minutes, give a player a tag and colors, e.g. [VIP] Horik.
• Optional hardcore mode: Group and Global work only with a radio switched on.
• Player settings: lines, background opacity, fade time, text size (Ctrl + + / - in the input line).
• Chat log ChatLog.txt (including Local) and an optional Discord webhook.

Keys

• Enter - open the input line, Tab - next channel.

Install

• Requires CF (Community Framework) on the server and on every client.
• Install KR Core first and load it before the other KR mods. Example: -mod=@CF;@KR_Core;@KR_Chat;@KR_Party;@KR_Map.
• Each mod must be on the server and on every client; copy its .bikey into the server's keys folder.
• Server data and settings are created on first start in profiles\KR_Mods\<Core|Chat|Party|Map>\ (each mod has its own folder and its own Config.json). Edit the file and restart the server.
• Every JSON file gets a .bak. An unreadable file is never overwritten: the mod runs on defaults until you fix it; broken copies are kept in Core\Broken\.
• Languages: English, Russian.

Admins

• Put your SteamID64 into profiles\KR_Mods\Core\Admins.json: { "Admins": [ "76561198000000000" ] }.
• In game press the Admin: off/on button in the top bar of the window. Admin features work only while it is on; otherwise an admin plays like everyone else.

Server config: Chat\Config.json

• ChatEnabled (1) - 0 turns the mod's chat off and the vanilla chat works.
• GlobalEnabled (1), MaxLength (200), MinIntervalMs (1000), BurstCount / BurstWindowSeconds (5 / 10), DuplicateSeconds (30), HistoryCount (20).
• LogToFile (1) - write ChatLog.txt; WebhookUrl (empty) - Discord webhook, lines are sent in batches every 5 seconds.
• HardcoreRadio (0) - Group and Global only with a switched-on radio (admins are exempt).
• Other files in Chat\: ChatMutes.json, ChatStyles.json (tags and name colors: { "Styles": [ { "SteamId": "...", "Tag": "VIP", "TagColor": "#FF4040", "NameColor": "#FFD700" } ] }).
