ABOUT THE MOD

Protect your vehicle with a four-digit code using a vanilla four-dial combination lock or a lock from the Code Lock mod.

Manage ownership, share access with players who know the code, and protect your vehicle’s cargo and essential parts while it is locked.

FEATURES

FOUR-DIGIT CODE LOCK Install a lock by entering your chosen code twice. Installation consumes the lock you are holding.

QUICK LOCK & UNLOCK Use the F interaction menu to lock or unlock an empty, parked vehicle. When unlocked, other players can open its doors, enter, and drive.

AUTOMATIC RELOCKING Vehicles automatically relock when the owner or the player who unlocked them disconnects. Protected vehicles also return to a locked state after a server restart.

PROTECTED VEHICLE PARTS Locked vehicles prevent removal of wheels, headlight bulbs, radiators, batteries, and spark or glow plugs—even when the hood is open or missing.

SECURED CARGO Cargo remains hidden and inaccessible while locked, even with the trunk open or missing. Items inside bags and containers stored in the vehicle are protected too.

PUSH PROTECTION Locked vehicles block the standard Push Car action. Unlock the vehicle to push it normally.

VEHICLE MANAGEMENT Change your code, transfer ownership to an online player selected by name, or remove the lock.

Changing the code requires the current code followed by two matching entries of the new code. Removing the lock also requires the current code and returns the original lock type and condition.

PUBLIC VEHICLE INFORMATION Anyone can view basic vehicle information, including its type, owner name, lock status, and automatic-removal timer.

CONFIGURABLE INACTIVITY EXPIRY Server owners can automatically remove locks after a chosen number of inactive days, such as 7 or 14 days. Authorized use resets the timer by default, and server downtime counts toward expiry.

Automatic removal is disabled by default.

SERVER SETTINGS & OWNERSHIP RECORDS Configure vehicle ownership limits and inactivity expiry through settings with inline explanations. Ownership records include player names, vehicle names, and readable UTC access and expiry dates.

REQUIREMENTS & COMPATIBILITY

Community Framework (CF) is required on both the server and client.

Supports vanilla four-dial combination locks. The Code Lock mod is optional and required only when using its electronic lock items.

Designed for vanilla cars and trucks, plus modded vehicles using standard DayZ CarScript systems. Custom vehicle controls and inventory systems may require additional compatibility work. Boats and aircraft are not supported.
