About EasySettingSkills - (UpToLevelBook)

From mod.io

The mod allows you to choose whether to craft a skill book or a skill page, as well as the required profession level and the quantity of skill pages produced.

---EN------------------------------------------------------------------------

# EasySettingSkills

Modifies skill book recipes for all professions: crafting the book or skill pages (and quantities), and the profession level required to craft them. Open source: one .cs file for the mod, a second (optional) one for EasyServer.

## Installation

Two files, placed in the same folder Mods/UserCode/EasySettingSkills/:

| File | Role | Option |
|---|---|---|
| EasySettingSkills.cs | Reads Configs/EasySettingSkills.eco and modifies recipes | Yes |
| EasySettingSkillsToEasyServer.cs | Maps "Easy Setting Skills" into EasyServer | No |

- Without EasyServer: Install only EasySettingSkills.cs (or both; the second one simply won't function without EasyServer). You can make changes by editing the \Server\Configs\EasySettingSkills.eco file.
- With EasyServer: Install both files. This allows you to adjust settings easily within EasyServer without manually editing files.

Updating EasySettingSkills: Files in Server\Mods\UserCode\AutoGen\Tech are no longer needed. Upon the first startup, the settings in Configs/EasySettingSkills.eco will apply to your skill page or skill book crafting.
In EasyServer, look for the EasySettingSkills plugin.

Restart the server: Configs/EasySettingSkills.eco is created containing the list of all skills. No need to modify game files or EasyServer files.

## Without EasyServer: Configs/EasySettingSkills.eco

Stop the server, edit the file, and restart. ``json example</p> <p>"AllSkills": {<br>"Output": "Scrolls",<br>"ScrollCount": "4",<br>"RequiredLevel": "4",<br>"Now": "40 of 40 skill(s) follow AllSkills." <br>},<br>"Skills": {<br>"Farming": {<br>"Game": "3 scroll(s), needs GatheringSkill level 5",<br>"Now": "4 scroll(s), needs GatheringSkill level 4 (from AllSkills)"<br>},<br>`</p> <p>- **AllSkills**: for all skills that do not have their own specific value.<br>- **Skills**: one entry per skill (name without "Skill"); its values take precedence over AllSkills.<br>- **Output**: "Book" (1 book) or "Scrolls" (skill pages).<br>- **ScrollCount**: number of pages crafted when Output = Scrolls.<br>- **RequiredLevel**: required profession level (e.g., Logging for Carpentry), from 0 to 7.<br>- null = keep the game's default value (for a skill: follow AllSkills).<br>- Numbers are written in quotes ("3"); 3 without quotes is also accepted.<br>- Game and Now are for information purposes only and are rewritten upon every save: what the recipe does in the original game versus what it does now ("from AllSkills" or "own setting").</p> <p>Example after selecting "⭐ All skills → 2 pages, level 4" on the map: AllSkills is set to {"Output": "Scrolls", "ScrollCount": "2", "RequiredLevel": "4"}, individual skills remain null (following AllSkills), and their Now line reads 2 scroll(s), needs LoggingSkill level 4 (from AllSkills). ## With EasyServer: the "Easy Setting Skills" tab</p> <p>With EasySettingSkillsToEasyServer.cs installed: EasyServer → **Mods &amp; Plugins → Plugins** → enable "Easy Setting Skills" (ID EasySettingSkills, including a validation code if you use one). The tab is located on the **Craft Table** page:</p> <p>A single **Skill** list, opening on **⭐ All skills (40)**:</p> <p>- **⭐ All skills**: Craft (🎮 Game / 📕 Skill book / 📜 Skill scrolls), Scrolls, profession level → **💾 Apply to the all skills**. All professions are modified at once. The "Also the … skill(s) with their own setting (✏️)" checkbox (enabled by default) also applies changes to skills configured individually.<br>- **A specific skill** (✏️ = has its own setting): Craft, Scrolls, level ("like All skills" = no custom value) → **💾 Save**. **↩️ Like "All skills"** removes its custom setting.<br>- **Tools**: 📋 Show all, 🔍 Check the server (what the server is actually using, recipe by recipe, compared to your settings), Reset everything (revert to game defaults).</p> <p>The mapping is written to the same Configs/EasySettingSkills.eco file. If the plugin is disabled in EasyServer, the file settings still apply.</p> <p>## When it is applied</p> <p>At every startup, and immediately after any change in the tab (server-side). Players' crafting windows display the new values **after a restart** (Eco caches recipes sent to players); the "Restart needed" line serves as a reminder.</p> <p>## Good to know</p> <p>- Game files (__core__/AutoGen, UserCode/AutoGen`) are never modified: the mod starts with the recipe as loaded by Eco (including overrides) and changes only the product and the required level. - If EasyRecipeEditor also modifies the products of a book recipe, the last one applied takes precedence: configure skill books using only EasySettingSkills.
