Anex Trinket Light
Shining trinkets in Necesse give off a small ring of light. This mod makes that ring noticeably bigger and brighter, so the Shine Belt and the Explorer Satchel actually help you see while you explore caves or move around at night.
By default the light reaches a little further than vanilla (165 compared to the usual 135), and you can set it to whatever you like.
Adjusting the light
- With Mod Settings Lib (optional): you get an in-game slider in the mod's settings. Move it and it applies right away, no restart needed.
- Without it: the mod still works on its own. Edit one value in AppData\Roaming\Necesse\cfg/mods/anex.trinketlight.cfg and relaunch.
Anything from 50 to 250 looks good. Past 250 the light can start to flicker, so treat that as the practical ceiling.
Good to know
- Works on both the Shine Belt and the Explorer Satchel (they share the same light buff).
- Client-side only, so it is safe on multiplayer servers without everyone needing it.
- Mod Settings Lib is optional. It only adds the in-game settings screen; the mod runs fine without it.
