Removes darkness in caves, underground areas, and during night time on the surface. Works in the Deep Caves.
Platform Support: This mod works on Windows, Linux, and Mac (Steam Workshop compatible for all platforms).
Features: - Works in caves (including Deep Caves) and at night - Configurable brightness via cfg file (default: 20%) - Toggle on/off with L key (default) - Client-side mod (works on any server) - Optional: If you have Custom Settings Lib installed, you'll get a nice in-game UI with a brightness slider in Mod Settings!
Configuration: Edit the config file at: - Windows: %APPDATA%/Necesse/cfg/mods/nodarkness.cfg - Linux: ~/.config/Necesse/cfg/mods/nodarkness.cfg - Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Necesse/cfg/mods/nodarkness.cfg
Change the value: darknessBrightness=0.2 (range: 0.0 - 1.0) - 0.0 = dark (no effect) - 0.2 = 20% brightness (default) - 1.0 = full brightness (maximum effect)
After editing the config file, restart the game for changes to take effect.
WARNING: This mod modifies game lighting and may show a message in chat like 'Allow cheats to do that' when entering dark areas. However: - The mod works perfectly fine without enabling cheats - Cheats remain disabled (you don't need to enable them) - Steam achievements still work normally - You can simply ignore the chat message - it doesn't affect functionality
