Pathfinder NPC

Supports Game Version 1.3.3

Pathfinder NPC makes eligible NPCs smarter by prioritizing roads and paths over grass and random terrain. Villagers and other NPCs naturally follow roads, creating more immersive and realistic movement through towns and villages.

In-game Mod Settings

Pathfinder NPC includes a slider that controls how often NPCs prefer roads and paths:

• 100% — Current/default behavior
• 70% — NPCs prefer paths roughly 70% of the time
• 0% — NPCs use Necesse’s normal pathfinding

The setting is available under Settings → Mod Settings → Pathfinder NPC. Changes apply immediately to new path searches.

[list=1] [*]Save the file. [*]Restart the server. [/list] The value can be any number from 0 to 100. Players do not need to configure this setting themselves; the dedicated server controls NPC pathfinding.

Notes:

• Safe to add or remove at any time, including for existing worlds.
• Offline and locally hosted worlds can change the setting while the world is loaded.
• Dedicated servers require a restart after changing the configuration file.
