Smart Mining Tweak

The smart mining tool never really seemed very smart to me, which is why this mod was built.

This mod changes smart mining so it focuses on the first thing you start mining, chopping, or clearing. For example, if smart mining is on and you start mining ore, it will keep targeting ore until you let go of the attack button. It should not wander off into nearby stone while there is still ore it can target.

If there are no matching targets left in range, smart mining should stop until you release the attack button and start again.

This mod changes smart mining for these object types:

• Ore
• Clay rock, separate from ore
• Normal trees and fruit trees, separated from each other
• Fruit bushes
• Grown and wild harvest flowers
• Floor tiles, separated by exact tile type
• Wall blocks, separated by exact wall type

Tiles and walls are locked by exact type. So if you start on one floor or wall type, you will have to let go of the attack button and start again to switch to another type.

Multiplayer

I only play singleplayer, but I tested this by running separate clients and got it working, so it should work in multiplayer.

Compatibility

This mod may conflict with other mods that change smart mining, tool targeting, or mining/chopping behavior.

I used AI to help me build this mod, so if that bothers you, don't use it.

Also, since I used AI, the mod might not be perfect. I tested it, and it seems to work fine though.
