Foundational changes to the Metalwork system.

Untested on MP.

Metalwork Overhaul manages the early resource refinement stage for metal working - downstream recipes are not changed, so this mod should be mostly compatible with other metalworking mods.

 •
New Models
• New Furnace and Forge models, each with unique stats that balance into the existing vanilla Forges and Furnaces.
 • Propane Furnace & Forge - require propane as fuel and electricity for fanned air injection. Ramp up to full heat quickly. When air injection is turned off at high heat, the fan speeds the cooling process of the Forge / Furnace. Can be used indoors safely with no emissions.
 • Arc Furnace & Forge - late-game progression, these require no fuel (except for craftable carbon electrodes which are easy to make). Ramp up to high heat quickly, automatic cooling, only require electricity. Requires a heavy transformer, which can be crafted with lvl8 electrical, or found as rare loot. Can be used indoors safely with no emissions.
 •
Visual effects & Audio
• All Forges, Furnaces and Kilns now have animation, smoke, glow, fire effects, and emit heat. Furnaces, Kilns and Forges now have audio which reflect their state - regular burn and high burn (air injection.)
 •
Heat and airflow
• Furnaces now act like real furnaces - they have internal heat and require air injection to reach full temperature. Hot Furnaces produce a large radius of heat that will affect the player. In future updates I'll add clothing that mitigates this. Furnaces at full blast consume 3.5 times as much charcoal as they do during normal burning. Different blower types (Such as Bellows, Blower) affect the max temperature, and time taken to reach max temperature, depending on the furnace type.
 •
UI Compatible
• Compatible with all the major UI mods, so that furnaces and forges can be managed from the crafting screen.
 •
Molten metal and casting
• Metals heated to their melting point in the furnace become molten, may be poured into a single larger crucible to combine small amounts, or split into small crucibles, may be cast to moulds and cast to ingots for further processing or storage.
 •
Charcoal production
• Charcoal burners output charcoal over time, instead of an instant recipe. They must be kept loaded with fuel to continue output. When running multiple forges, kilns and furnaces, more than one charcoal burner may be required to meet fuel demand.
 •
Fuel
• Metalwork recipes now do not require charcoal as an input. This has been changed, so that when the Furnace / Forge are ignited and at heat, those same recipes are available for crafting without the charcoal input. This has been balanced, so that the amount of charcoal burned is still equivalent to what the recipe would have originally required. However, using more advanced / efficient furnaces and forges will reduce the amount of charcoal consumed for each individual recipe.
 •
Pottery & Glassmaking
• Pottery has been reworked - unfired clay items are now loaded into the kiln, and will 'fire' over the next several in-game hours. There's UI feedback, showing how long each item will take. Glassmaking now follows the metalworking pipeline - sand and/or glass is loaded into a crucible, and needs to be melted in a furnace for crafting.
 •
Recipe durations
• Recipe duration rework - you will not be able to fire a mold in 4 seconds as you could in the basegame. Fire up the kiln, put something in to be fired, walk away, and return a few hours later, the recipe will be finished.
 •
Construction time
• Building structures now require time, and do not build instantly.
 • Structures may now be demolished, for an 80% refund on their required building materials. Anvils are guaranteed in recovery from demolished forges.

Progression

 • Metalwork Overhaul also tries to give utility to all furnace types, the Blast Furnace is the most fuel effecient when smelting in bulk, but expensive for small batches, the Primitive Furnace does not have capacity for bulk smelting, but takes the least amount of time to bring up to full temperature under blast.
 • Likewise, the charcoal burners and large charcoal pit both have their time and place - the large charcoal pit allows the player to produce charcoal in bulk, with a long burn window, requires less management, whereas the charcoal drums allows for the most effecient conversion of fuel. The regular charcoal pit doens't take long to make, but is inefficient and should be moved away from early in progression.
 • Added a new Propane Furance and Propane Forge for late game progression, these do not produce emissions so can be used indoors safely, and heat up faster than any fueled furnace.

Metalwork Overhaul aims to improve the gameplay for metalworking, without making it overpowered. Please provide any feedback you have regarding balance.
