Rewritten from the ground up, Better Auto Mechanics is a comprehensive quality-of-life upgrade for the mechanic skill. Inspired by the original mod "AutoMechanics", it improves on several key features while still allowing you to train mechanics on vehicles with a single button. And it works in multiplayer!

Compatible with all B42 versions! B41 is not supported, use this instead.

🔧 Key Features

• Smart XP Tracking: The mod knows exactly when you can't gain XP from a specific car anymore. It will alert you if a vehicle isn't worth training on, so you never waste time.
• Resume Interrupted Training: If zombies interrupt you (or you cancel an action), you can pick up exactly where you left off. No more starting from scratch and wasting part durability!
• Efficiency First: The mod will never perform an action if it won't yield XP.
• Clearer Tooltips: Know exactly what tools you need and how your skill level, known recipes, and other factors impact the training before you start.
• Fast-Forward Supported: Fully supports speeding up the game in SP, allowing you to breeze through your training sessions. Nearby zombies will still reset the game speed to normal.
• Batch Uninstall: Quickly strip vehicles for spare parts! Use the new context menu to batch-uninstall specific categories like all doors, all tires, or completely strip the entire car bare with a single click.
• Translated into: English, German, Russian, French, simple + trad. Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Polish.

[*] Right-click directly on a vehicle in the world to access the "Train Mechanics" button faster. [*] The "Train Mechanics" button is automatically hidden once you reach Mechanics Level 10. [/list] [hr][/hr] [h2]⚙️ Mod Settings[/h2] You can customize the "Minimum Vehicle Part Success Chance" in the options. This value determines the safety threshold for installing/uninstalling parts; any part with a success chance below this value will be skipped during training. [list] [*] 0 (Risky): All parts will be worked on. Be careful—parts will break or lose condition at lower skill levels. [*] 30 (Default): A good balance. Parts with a very low success chance are skipped to prevent excessive damage, while still allowing for decent XP gain. [*] 100 (Safe Mode): Only parts that are guaranteed to succeed will be worked on. This is completely safe at all skill levels, though training may be slower as fewer parts are eligible.
