Ladders?! B42.20 SP/MP (Unofficial)

Rewritten for B42.20 by nyamops, works in all 4 directions Rewritten for 42.20.4 by Birget.

There are 2 mod versions:

• Ladders!? 42.20 [OLD] - previous mod version for existing saves and servers. It has same Mod ID as before, this update shouldn't break it. Mod ID: Ladders4220
• Ladders!? 42.20.4 [FOR NEW SAVES] - it has Mod ID: Ladders42204.
• What changed:
• 1. I added context menu to climb up the ladder and to climb down.
• 2. Now ladder "activation" is visible: it adds new tile(s) to the top. After the ladder is activated it utilizes vanilla climb sheet rope mechanic, so this should help with desync and anti-cheat.
• 3. Rebalanced crafting recipes.
• 4. All ladder tiles now can be rotated to 4 directions.
• 5. Collapsible ladder can be placed anywhere, but will work only if there is a walkable floor above. Same as in real life.
• 6. You can climb into houses with ladders and doorfames at playgrounds. BUT DO NOT ADD ANY DOORS - i couldnt make it work normal.
• 7.Animation should be synched, but some occasional desync can happen. For forced sync I recommend this mod.

[h2] HINTS[/h2][list] [*][h1]You're better to be in the same tile as ladder and be facing it[/h1] [*] Hold E to get down facing the ladder (in [old] version it is the only way). There is a context menu in newest mod version. It should help you to get down.

If you can't climb any ladder- you have some kind of mod conflict, test the mod in new savefile with no other mods. If some of ladders - thats because the upper level doesnt suit 'hoppable' requerement.

[*] Do not press any keys while climbing. It can be painfull or even deadly.

[*] If you use a controller. I think I added compatibility, but I didn't test much. Face The ladder, press X button, select "Climb UP" to activate the ladder, after that you can climb up and down by holding A.

If you have some kind of problems with controller better unsub and switch to this mod.

[*]Collapsible ladder can be found in garages, warehouses, fire departments, tool stores and in Gigamart's tool shelves.

TIPS FROM COMMENTS

For everyone with the can't climb down again issue, I encountered that with the 1st ladder I climbed (B42 SP), but worked out if I held the direction to walk into the ladder and pressed "E" (direction+E) then it worked. Correction: Hold "E" then press the direction of the ladder.

Hello everyone. I don't know if this is common knowledge, but I have found out that ladders will not be functional if there is a staircase above. I spent a couple of hours troubleshooting mods until I realised.
