Being the 'Common Sense' of vehicles, this mod adds A LOT of Features and QOL/Rebalancing Changes, I urge you to read the full list below! Trust me, you'll be wishing some of these options were in the vanilla game.
[WIP Mod for Multiplayer/Singleplayer B42.20 Stable]. Supports all modded vehicles. Can be added/removed mid-save safely. Almost everything can be selectively disabled/enabled (the important stuff at least), most options are enabled by default.
Climbable Vehicles does not currently work for multiplayer, requires enabling in the sandbox settings, and will be moved to a different mod page when enough vanilla bugs are fixed. I only recommend using it for screenshots as it's very outdated and I cannot, nor will I, confirm if it works since it's basically abandoned, for now. Don't ask about it in the comments either, I'll finish it when I finish it.
If you use any mod that removes/replaces vanilla vehicles for modded, please drop it and use my sandbox setting for compatibility purposes.
LOAD ORDER INSTRUCTION: In general, at the top, but after map mods.
NEW FEATURES: - Adds vehicle zones across the entire map (literally thousands) including vehicles in garages, gas station, more traffic in your traffic jams, farms, and more. - Adds a new custom vehicle spawn rate, chance to spawn burnt, damaged, and more customization in the sandbox settings. - Spawns more corpses in cars, you'll find quite a few here and there on car seats. - Some vehicle zone types, like parking lots, can spawn vehicles facing in random directions to simulate the initial waves of chaos of the apocalypse. - Improves junkyards and traffic jams by adding back wrecked vehicles, removal of random parts, rebalanced vehicle qualities, and randomly opened doors/windows. - Bombs can now trigger car alarms AND be planted on vehicles to explode them (smoke, pipe, aerosol, remote detonators, plant on doors, above wheels, and in the ignition, etc.). - A new system for refueling vehicles from pumps at gas stations, which includes, but is not limited to, not needing to stand still for a minute while pumping gasoline, repairing the pump you just ripped out after driving away with it still attached, sounds, fuel station status, etc. - Adds the ability to exit from a moving vehicle, but I'd be careful at higher speeds! Disabled for just drivers in MP, the desync was horrendous in testing. - Weather affects players with an open door, a window open, or a windshield smashed (more detailed than worth explaining). - Adds Jackie Jaye's LBMW Radio Van. It will only spawn at her trailer north of the main LV military checkpoint. - Adds vehicles hoods, trunks, and trailers as a generic crafting surfaces; for crafting recipes that require a table. - Adds a crafting recipe to clone a car key, either as a backup or for a friend. It is very similar to the 'Copy Building Key' recipe and it requires reading the same magazine from it. - Adds several scripts for smelting vehicle parts into steel, crafting tires and windows/windshield glass, and repairing tires and mufflers. - Adds the ability to open/close and unlock/lock your own door while in a vehicle. - Adds the ability to enter/exit some vehicles through the trunk (assume for most heavy-duty vehicles it will work). Only works if you can see the "Trunk" container icon from the seat you're in (usually the rear row). That feature, that is accessing the trunk from the inside if you're in a specific seat, is vanilla and I made this to work based on that. - As the driver of a vehicle, you can electronically open/close any window. Press "Z", or enter the Vehicle Seats UI another way, then hold LEFT or RIGHT ALT to see your options. From there, you can either click an individual window or press a number on your keyboard to open the corresponding window. - You can now unhotwire (rewire?) hotwired vehicles at level 3 electrical and level 2 mechanics. - Adds unique uninstall option to vehicle batteries to remove them from a vehicle with its engine running (see in-game tooltip for more info). - Adds a TWD reference, a flipped prison bus in Rosewood (if you have the correct KI5 vehicle mod enabled), there's more potential here (WIP). - Normal trailers have the ability to add and remove their cover (right-click trailer part in the trailer's mechanics ui). - Advert trailers now have trailer storage (access from either open side, still the same storage). - Adds extra seating to the back of Pick Up Trucks, great for transporting friends AND corpses, which may be the same thing if they died... (no visible player model is shown, vanilla bug would make it look weird unfortunately). - Adds context menu option to cut tire pieces from tire stack world objects, most commonly found at 'Irvington Speedway' as bumper barriers. Supports the vanilla red, white, and black tire stacks. - Adds context menu option to take propane from the large world propane tanks, which can be commonly found at newer/updated gas stations and basements in B42.20 stable.
SANDBOX SETTINGS: - NO VANILLA VEHICLES option, defaulted to off. - General spawn rate defaults to vanilla if no value is entered. Junkyards, traffic jams, and special traffic jams ignore this setting. - Spawn rate for traffic jams (otherwise recognized as bumper to bumper traffic) is defaulted to very high, but the vanilla Vehicle Spawn Rate value slightly alters it. - The Traffic Jams in LV toggle enables/disables all the new traffic jams I added in LV specifically. - The Traffic Jams outside LV toggle enables/disables all the new traffic jams I added everywhere else. - Random Vehicle Angles is a toggle for if some specific types of car zones, such as parking lots and ambulances, will be rotated around at random. Basically, it is a slight immersion thing. - Corpses Spawning in Vehicles can be set to "None", "Rare", "Normal", and "Common" (default is 'Normal' which is about 8%).
