My Sister's Cure
Care for her, search, and craft. A small survival story for your one and only sister.
Synopsis
Even after the outside world has fallen apart, you remain at home with your sister. She is bedridden with a fever of unknown cause. Prepare her meals, keep her company, travel from hospital to hospital in search of clues, gather materials, and make the medicine with your own hands. Whether you can save her is up to you.
Features
- Your sister is not an object, but family waiting for you to come home. Her hunger, body temperature, mood, stamina, and illness progress change over time.
- Her condition is conveyed not by numbers but by her words. Ask how she feels, check on her, ask if she is hungry. Her replies change with what you say to her.
- Conversations come with choices. Memories, worries, promises. Your replies affect her mood.
- Leave meals and medicine on the side table, and she will take them herself while you are away. She eats the food that spoils soonest first.
- Search for the doctors' notes, learn the recipes, and move on to fever syrup, simple antibiotic, calming medicine, and finally the special medicine.
- You can also pick your sister up (she goes into your inventory) and move her to another bed. However, carrying her on foot drains her stamina heavily. Traveling by car reduces the loss, so use a car whenever you can. There is no command to put her in a car: just get into the car with her still in your inventory.
- There is an ending where she is cured, and an ending where you could not save her.
Items (medicines)
- Fever syrup: Lowers her fever. Lasts about 4 hours. It does not affect the illness itself.
- Simple antibiotic: Slows the illness to half speed and pushes it back a little. Lasts about 6 hours. However, it cannot bring the illness below a certain level.
- Calming medicine: Smooths out the swings of her symptoms and lifts her mood a little. It can also push the illness back deeper than the simple antibiotic. Lasts about 8 hours. It does not cure her.
- Special medicine: Greatly slows the illness and pushes it back deeply. Lasts about 12 hours. If the illness is light enough by the time it
