Pleford Springs, KY

This mod adds in the new town of Pleford Springs.

This map mod aims to be a semi-lore accurate town having been set the day of the outbreak with little survivor fortifications or wreckage. This mod was made to have a nice vanilla feeling town at the western side of the map. The town was made with realism in mind and has every business and shop that a town of this size would require.

Pleford Springs is a town roughly the same size as Riverside located in the Western end of the map along the highway, Cells 11 x 26 through 13 x 24 (3 x 3 cell square). The density of zombies is similar to that of Mauldraugh; with a higher number of zombies as you get closer towards the town’s center.

Locations and Buildings:

When making the buildings I went for a more realistic approach and built many of the shops and houses off real-life ones or franchises to give it a different feel from normal Zomboid.

There are three different housing locations. Middle-class housing comprised of town houses and smaller single-family housing around the town center. Affordable living comprised of small single-person houses in the town's northeastern section. The neighborhood comprised of big single family residential homes, located towards the eastern edge of the map.

The parade was an ongoing event along the main road right before the outbreak. Due to this, many of the main roads traveling through the middle of town are closed off. With many people attending the parade before the outbreak there is a high number of zombies nearby.

The survivor fort was built by the town’s residents who were immune to the airborne infection. They fortified the car dealership at the southern part of town, walled off with cargo containers and fencing. However, this fort didn’t survive long as the zombies were able to find a way in and infect the remaining fort residents.

Spawns:

All professions have a unique spawn that plays into their trait, for example the firefighter spawns outside a burned house. Many of the professions have more than one spawn as to not make everything feel too same from run to run.

Conflicts:

This mod conflicts with Winchester KY, Reford Ville, Rosemary, and any other map mods that take up cell (11 x 26), (11 x 25), (11 x 24), (12 x 26), (12 x 25), (12 x 24), (13 x 26), (13 x 25), (13 x 24).
