☀️ Plysken Solar Revolution
Harness the sun to keep your base running long after the grid goes dark. A complete off-grid solar energy system for Project Zomboid Build 42: solar panels, battery banks, a Solar Computer to manage your devices, and a failsafe backup generator relay. Solo & Multiplayer (Host/Coop and Dedicated Server).

🔋 Getting Started
1. Learn the recipes. Read the magazine New Advancements: Energy From The Sun — best odds in electronics store magazine racks, or inside a Solar Box crate. Everything unlocks at once. Looked everywhere and found nothing? Loot in a room is rolled the first time anyone walks in, so if you added the mod to a save you were already playing, the places you have explored will never have it. Fresh streets, or a fresh world. 2. Build the parts. Craft Make Solar Panel (part) first, then a panel and a Battery Bank — which also needs an Inverter. 3. Bank indoors, panels outdoors. The bank needs a room with walls AND a roof — a walled yard with open sky will not do. Panels need clear sky above them. Placement is refused silently, so if the cursor stays red it is almost always one of these two. 4. Wire, load, switch on. Right-click the bank, Battery Bank, Connect Panels, click each panel; drop batteries inside; then Turn on. Full step-by-step, every placement rule, the Solar Computer and a "why is my cursor red" checklist: Getting started & troubleshooting

⚡ Living Off Solar
A running bank powers every vanilla appliance in the whole building it sits in — lights, fridges, freezers, TVs — like a generator, without the noise or the fuel, plus a radius around it. Separate buildings usually need their own bank. At night or under heavy cloud it drains the stored charge instead. Backup generator. Place a Failsafe Trigger on top of a vanilla generator that is already plugged in, indoors or out. When the banks run low it starts that generator on its own, and stops it once they recover. Each bank drives its closest generator — one Failsafe each. Fumes. A battery bank clears toxic fumes from its room only while it is running. A flat bank stops clearing, so a generator left indoors will gas you overnight. Keep real generators outside. Banks standing side by side can be linked to share one pool of charge, and areas you built yourself can be connected by hand — both are in the guide above. For a floor or a room that is part of the map rather than built by you, switch on the sandbox option Allow connecting map buildings first — it is off by default.

🖥️ Solar Computer
Put a vanilla Desktop Computer next to a Battery Bank and connect it (right-click it, Solar Computer), then left-click it to open Device Management: every device of the building grouped by type, with live consumption in Ah, and Enable / Disable on one device or a whole group.

📦 Items
Solar Panels — Flat (ground/roof), Wall-Mounted (N or W facing), Floor-Mounted (angled stand). Same output whichever you build. All built from the raw Solar Panel (part). To get that part back, pick the panel up and run it through Reverse Solar Roof Tile (flat) or Split Solar Panel to parts (wall/floor) — taking one apart where it stands only gives raw materials. Power Bank — stores the charge and powers the building. Batteries — Deep Cycle 200Ah and Super 400Ah (loot), Wired Car Battery (any car battery rewired; quality scales with your Electricity skill), Improvised Battery (crafted from scrap — renewable), DIY Battery (built from one wired or improvised battery; same capacity, but it degrades far slower). Failsafe Trigger — the backup generator relay described above. Recondition Battery — restores a worn battery: screwdriver, 3 Electronics Scrap, Electricity 3. The battery is kept, not consumed. New Advancements: Energy From The Sun — the skill magazine that teaches every PSR recipe. Found as loot, or in the Solar crates and pre-built banks that spawn in sheds, garages, storage units, electronics storage (best odds) and farm storage. Placed the first time someone enters a room: already-explored areas never produce one.

⚙️ Sandbox Options
Solar panel efficiency · charge frequency (10 min / hourly) · battery degradation · DIY battery capacity · power consumption multiplier · loot rarity (panels / batteries / misc) · battery bank world-spawn rarity · panel connection time · backup generator connection range.

📋 Requirements
Project Zomboid Build 42. No other mods required — it's a complete standalone overhaul, you do not need the original ISA mod. Can be added to an existing save — though loot only appears in areas you have not visited yet, so expect to travel before you find panels or batteries. Mods that push or drag furniture will make a Battery Bank lose its batteries and its panel links when you move it that way — empty it and re-connect after the move.
