Works with B42 MP update
While shooting a firearm, if you are within extreme proximity of the target zombie, the target will instantly die. (Or take a lot of damage, if you configure it in sandbox options)

Recent Updates
- Fixed a bug where one shot could kill a zombie that wasn't in your line of fire. Point Blank now resolves its kill before the engine decides what the bullet hits, so the shot can't go on to put down a second zombie. Controlled by the new PointBlankExperimentalHitLimitations option (on by default) — turn it off to restore the old behaviour.
- Fixed the sandbox options showing raw/garbled text instead of readable labels.
- Point blank now has a cooldown between kills — .5s by default, dropping to .1s as your Aiming skill levels up. You'll barely notice it with pistols/revolvers; automatics will feel it more. Want point blank more restricted for balance? Bump PointBlankCooldownDuration up to 1-2 seconds — PointBlankCooldownDurationMin can be adjusted too, and it'll still scale correctly with your Aiming skill.
- Two-handed weapons (rifles, shotguns) now get a larger point blank range than one-handed ones (pistols, revolvers), since the muzzle sits further from your body.
- Added rough translations for the remaining languages.

Sandbox Options
Point Blank - Aiming Xp Multiplier
Any xp gains from killing a zombie will be multiplied by this value.
Default = .05

Point Blank - Effective Range
Zombies shot at a distance below this value will take point blank damage. Applies to one-handed weapons (pistols, revolvers).
Default = 1.85
Point Blank - Effective Range (Two-Handed Weapons)
Same as above, but for two-handed weapons (rifles, shotguns). Set higher than the one-handed value, since the muzzle sits further from the player's body.
Default = 2.3

Point Blank - Cooldown Between Point Blank Kills at Min Aiming Skill (seconds)
Real-world seconds required between point blank triggers at Aiming skill level 0, regardless of game speed or framerate. This is the longest the cooldown gets — it scales down toward the value below as your Aiming skill increases.
Default = .5
Point Blank - Cooldown Between Point Blank Kills at Max Aiming Skill (seconds)
The cooldown used once you've reached Aiming skill level 10 — the shortest the cooldown gets. Scales linearly between this and the value above based on your current Aiming skill level.
Default = .1

Point Blank - Experimental Hit Limitations
Limits one trigger pull to a single point blank victim. Point Blank picks the closest zombie in range and resolves the kill before the engine chooses what the bullet hits, so the shot can no longer put down a second zombie out of your line of fire. Note that this means a point blank kill consumes the shot — a zombie further down range won't also be hit. Turn this off to restore the previous behaviour.
Default = true
Point Blank - Min Ticks Between Point Blank Kills
Set this higher to enforce a "cooldown" between point blank kills. By default, this ensures point blank can't trigger multiple times in a single tick.
Default = 1
Point Blank - Disable Multiplayer Command Updates
For debugging purposes — you shouldn't need to change this. If you're having server/client/networking issues, this disables synchronous server/client updates. Without it, there can be a delay before a point-blank-killed zombie appears dead to other players.
Default = false
Point Blank - Instant Kill
If TRUE, when shooting a zombie within point blank range, they die instantly. If FALSE, the bonus damage options below apply instead.
Default = true
Only relevant if Instant Kill (above) is disabled:
Point Blank - Minimum Bonus Damage
The minimum amount of bonus damage applied. E.g. if your base damage is .0001, this raises the effective bonus damage to at least this value.
Default = .15
Point Blank - Bonus Damage Multiplier This multiplier is applied to your bonus damage from above. Does NOT affect BASE damage, ONLY bonus damage.
Default = .4
Damage Equation
TotalDamage = BaseDamage + PointBlankDamage
PointBlankDamage = Max(BaseDamage, PointBlankMinimumBonusDamage) * PointBlankBonusDamageMultiplier
(BaseDamage is your weapon's own damage stat — the "MaxDamage" value from its item definition)
Hidden from sandbox options, for debugging, punch this into lua console:
HF_PointBlank.Debug()
If ARTO is enabled, Point Blank is disabled for shotguns.
