Beehives & Queens

Build a Beehive, insert a queen and add Hive Frames. Frames gradually fill whenever the colony's working conditions are met.
- Honeybee Queen — fastest producer under normal conditions.
- Bumblebee Queen — slightly slower, but more tolerant of temperature.
- Zombee Queen — slower, but works day and night and ignores temperature, rain and snow.
Temperature ranges and production behavior can be adjusted through Sandbox Options. Zombees can be disabled with Enable Zombees.
Bee Stings
Removing queens or frames can occasionally cause a minor sting/scratch.
Hazmat and Spiffo mascot suits provide protection, and bee stings cannot transmit the Knox infection.

Honey Extractor

Insert sufficiently filled Hive Frames and start extraction with a single interaction.
- Extraction time scales with the number of frames.
- Extracted honey is stored as Raw Honey.
- A full frame yields up to 1.5 L.
- Processed frames are returned as wax frames.
- Extraction can occasionally reduce frame condition.
- Fluid and frame state are synchronized in multiplayer.

Bait Hives & Wild Honeycombs
Bait Hives use Project Zomboid's vanilla trapping system.
Use Bait Hive > Add Bait to add supported Honey, Beeswax or sugar bait.
An optional sandbox setting can hide foods that appear in the vanilla trapping menu but cannot attract a Wild Honeycomb.
A successful catch produces a Wild Honeycomb, which can provide Honey, Beeswax or a bee queen when disassembled.
See the gameplay guide below for bait effectiveness, zone chances and trapping details.

Foods, Medical Items & Beeswax

The mod includes honey-based foods and:
- Honey Bandage
- Honey Patch
Raw Honey can be converted into vanilla Honey using a reusable Funnel.
Beeswax has several crafting uses and can also be used for weapon maintenance.

Foraging & Farming
Bee Queens and Wild Honeycombs can be found through Foraging / Search Mode.
Active Beehives also provide a small configurable crop-growth bonus to nearby plants.
Both foraging abundance and crop-growth radius can be adjusted in Sandbox Options.
