Viewpoint - Visible Loot

Shelves, bookcases, coolers, racks, counters, crates, troughs and newspaper boxes show what is in them in Project Viewpoint's 3D view, and empty out as they are looted.

Work in progress

Most store and house furniture is covered, but the mod is not finished. Some pieces may still show items floating, clipping or missing.

Covered furniture

• Bookcases and shelves, corner bookcases, crafted wall shelves and stone shelves
• Grocery shelves, checkout stands, coolers, freezers, produce crates, vegetable baskets, bread stands, meat counters and bakery cases
• Bar shelves
• China cabinets
• Pizza displays and cantina counters
• Clothing racks, wall clothing rails, folded clothes and shoe displays
• Gun and jewelry counters
• General store and Zippee shelves, pegboards, storage racks, wire racks, video shelves and magazine racks
• Snack vending machines and newspaper boxes
• Trash cans, round metal bins, mall bins and public garbage bins
• Feed and water in farm troughs, and composters

How it works

• The game's "full" and "few items" pictures for each container are rebuilt as 3D models from the game's own item models.
• Four fill levels: full, looted, a few items and almost empty. Goods are taken away in steps as a container is looted. Each player can turn the two extra steps off in Options > Mods > Visible Loot.
• Furniture the game has no fill pictures for gets goods of its own, also from the game's own item models.
• Troughs show the hay and water the game puts in them.
• Coolers, freezers, bakery cases, china cabinets, pizza displays and gun and jewelry counters get new furniture models with see-through glass.
• Grocery shelving, storage racks, magazine racks, produce crates, bread stands and grocery wall shelves get new furniture models: the Voxel Studio versions have broken shelves or always show stock.
• Snack vending machines, newspaper boxes, cantina counters, wooden troughs and the double metal trough get new furniture models that are open, so what is inside them shows.
• Shelves seen from behind show their contents too.
• Store shelves, coolers and racks that repeat inside one store show their goods in different arrangements, by where each one stands. Every player sees the same shelf the same way.

Compatibility

Conflicts with Project Viewpoint: KK's Shelves in 3D. Both mods change mostly the same furniture, so use only one. On a server that runs both, each player can change to which one they want to use in Options > Mods > Visible Loot.
