Halogen chemistry for Stationeers

Introduces chlorine, bromine, iodine, hydrogen bromide, hydrogen iodide, sodium hydroxide, fluorine, chlorine monofluoride, iodine monochloride, iodine monobromide, iodine pentafluoride, iodine heptafluoride, hydrogen fluoride, oxygen difluoride, tetrafluoromethane, and nitrogen trifluoride. Direct fluorination and the chlorine, bromine, iodine, OF2, NF3, and noble-fluoride chains support their selected gaseous and liquid reactants. Reversible and selectivity-sensitive iodine chemistry uses controlled Chemical Reactor recipes instead of irreversible atmosphere burns.

Fluorine is highly dangerous as it will react hypergolically (no temp or spark requirement) with hydrogen based gases in a very explosive manner.

Chlor-alkali electrolysis

Print GasCore's Kit (Chemical Reactor) in a Tier Two Electronics Printer and supply 2 mol solid or liquid Sodium Chloride plus 2 mol Water or Steam per extent. The phase-flexible water input and solid-compatible salt input share a 606.903 K minimum derived from the captured salt freezing point. A 20 kW preheater warms cold feed and does not cool hotter contents; the hot reaction then uses a capped 20 kW process load. The reactor applies 2NaCl + 2H2O -> Cl2 + H2 + 2NaOH, sends chlorine and hydrogen to its gas output, and sends molten sodium hydroxide to its liquid output. Cool NaOH below 596 K to freeze it into a generated solid item.

Optional noble-fluoride chemistry

Enable the separate Stationeers Noble Gas Pack to automatically unlock krypton difluoride, xenon difluoride, xenon tetrafluoride, xenon hexafluoride, and radon difluoride. Formation accepts gaseous or liquid noble gases and fluorine; reduction accepts gaseous or liquid hydrogen. If the Noble Gas Pack is absent, these dependent definitions are skipped cleanly and the standalone fluorine chemistry remains active.

HOF and the noble fluorides are represented as solid-forming vapors that freeze directly into color-tinted ingots. Iodine and sodium hydroxide also use the ingot presentation; cryogenic families retain ice.

Economy

GasCore exchanges sell elemental chlorine, bromine, fluorine, and iodine but do not sell finished derivatives. Hydrogen bromide, hydrogen iodide, sodium hydroxide, ClF, ICl, IBr, IF5, IF7, HF, HOF, OF2, CF4, NF3, and any available noble-fluoride products can instead appear as trader purchase offers. Manufactured-product payouts use 10-credit increments and increase with feedstock demand, phase handling, temperature, staging, optional-pack requirements, and capture difficulty. HOF receives a scarcity premium because it must be isolated before decomposition. Trader-to-player elemental-feedstock prices are unchanged. Only elemental chlorine, bromine, fluorine, and iodine gases are space-mineable.

Requirements

Requires Stationeers Gas Framework. Stationeers Chemical Reactor is optional and is required only for the controlled machine recipes. The Noble Gas Pack is optional and is needed only for krypton, xenon, and radon fluoride chemistry. Resulting gases simply do not load if they are not present.

Notes

Chlorine, bromine, iodine, HBr, HI, interhalogens, fluorine, HF, HOF, OF2, NF3, and noble fluorides use toxicity, don't breathe them.
