Barter

Reshape Haldor, Hildir, the Bog Witch and custom traders with buy/sell lists, item currencies and trader purses. Prices can respond to a trader's balance, while a separate sell panel shows the carried items they will buy.

Features

• Write trader-specific or common buy/sell lists in YAML, JSON or CSV, with prices, lot sizes, quality and progression-key requirements.
• Choose an item currency per trader or override it for an individual offer.
• Trader purses lose funds when buying from you, gain funds when you shop and refill each morning; poor traders charge more and pay less.
• Filter the sell panel by item and see lot size, quality, price and currency before selling; equipped gear is protected and hotbar items are hidden by default.
• Require discovery before a trader offers an item, with an always-offered list for exceptions.
• Start with native trader stock preserved, modest material sell lists and additional raw-material offers at Haldor.
• Reload edited lists automatically; an invalid file leaves the previous accepted lists in force.
• The server checks trade terms and distance; inventory-space checks prevent a purchase or sale whose payment or goods would not fit.
• Use Resolve pending trade in Trader Services when an interrupted trade needs settlement; unresolved outcomes keep their recovery records.
• Trader Services includes host-character buyback and paid repairs; hosts and admins can edit trade lists in game.

Install and settings

Install with a Valheim mod manager to resolve dependencies automatically. Settings: F8 or Esc > Meadworks. Config: BepInEx/config/com.meadworks.barter.cfg. Version 0.1.10. Required on the server and every client; use matching versions. Dependencies: BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2360, Jotunn 2.30.2, Crucible 0.3.39. Server lists and trade rules apply to everyone. Back up the world's Barter.Authority directory and its key with the world. Remote trade settlement trusts the connected client's reported inventory outcome; it is cooperative accounting.
