About Tempest
From ThunderstoreMeadworks weather: rare blizzards and severe thunderstorms with a five-minute warning, the same for every player, plus a server weather filter. Required on all peers.
Tempest
Rare weather events interrupt travel with freezing blizzards, dangerous storms, dense fog and falling meteors. The server schedules and saves events so players share the same conditions.
Features
- Lowland blizzards bring Mountain-style freezing; Deep North blizzards become whiteouts with thicker fog and full wind.
- Severe thunderstorms strike around travelers and leave damaging ground lightning; bases, wards and configured building clearance protect against strikes.
- Rare dry Lightning Storms strike more often. Optional strike fires are off by default and follow Valheim's fire-spread rules.
- Dense Fog cuts visibility to roughly 15-20 meters without dealing damage.
- Ash Storms burn exposed players in the Ashlands; a roof or an interior protects them.
- Meteor Showers fall at night in the Plains and Ashlands by default, using strike damage and base protections, and end at dawn.
- A five-minute warning precedes events by default; optional Cairn integration also shows the warning on its weather HUD.
- Yields to native raids and random events. No event reaches the Mountain or Mistlands; only blizzards reach the Deep North.
- Hosts can filter individual native weathers and choose event chances, covered biomes, warning times and durations.
