Thing

Manage players, server messages, world tools and configuration from an in-game administration window. The server checks actions against platform IDs, its admin list and explicitly delegated permissions.

Features

• Identify online players by platform ID; kick, ban permanently or temporarily, unban, warn and mute with reasons.
• Freeze a player's movement and actions for the current connection; menus and chat remain usable, and disconnect clears the freeze.
• Grant World tools, Spawn, Teleport, Freeze, Inventory or Ward rights to individual IDs, including offline players; grants save per world on the server.
• Delegate Sub-Admin tools without granting shutdown, destructive world/configuration actions or inventory take/delete; those retain separate permission checks.
• Inspect connected players' inventories, then Take or confirm Delete of a stack with the Inventory right; custom data, quality and durability travel with it.
• Read recent moderation and audit records; broadcast messages, set recurring announcements or a message of the day, save the world and schedule shutdown.
• Inspect the seed, set or freeze world time, preview terrain reset, clear dropped items or use a session-only ward bypass when authorized.
• Use thing goto <player> and thing bring <player> for player teleportation, optionally asking the target first.
• Browse server configuration and edit plugin-owned settings with a backup and saved-value check; files without an owning plugin remain read-only.
• With Delve, inspect regeneration clocks and request resets; nature and resource restoration avoids player buildings. Console commands expose the same tools.

Install and settings

Install with a Valheim mod manager to resolve dependencies automatically. Settings: F8 or Esc > Meadworks; Almanac is optional. File: BepInEx/config/com.meadworks.thing.cfg. Version 0.1.20. Required on the server and every client; use matching versions. Dependencies: BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2360, Jotunn 2.30.2, Crucible 0.3.39.
