Immersive Heat
Heat sources melt snow and ice around them, and have a dynamic heating radius.

Description
Just a small mod I whipped up after a conversation with my friends. Adds a dynamic heat radius to most heat sources, reflecting their intensity and temperature. I figured maybe someone else might want to use it too :)
Campfires and Forges will emit heat based on the fuels burned within them. Burning and hot ground storage (burning firewood, hot ingots) both emit heat in a radius around it proportionate to heat temperature.
This also gives torches and oil lamps a small body-temperature heating radius - but they only ever heat the player up to a max of 34° on their own... enough to keep from freezing to death, but still too cold to get rid of the frost.
As of 1.0.2, adds an ambient heating pass to the environment above 5°. Can be disabled.
Commands:
/iheat viz - Heat zone visualizer
/iheat scan [radius] - Scans in a radius and prints detected heat sources
/iheat melt - Heats the block you're looking at one step (melts one layer of snow at a time).
Config options:
"MeltSpeedMult": Raises the speed that snow and ice melt around heat sources.
"RadiusMult": Multiplies the heat emission radius size for each source.
"EmitterTickSeconds": The frequency that the snow melt system ticks.
"MeltGlacierIce": Whether the server allows melting of Glacier Ice with heat sources.
"HeatFromHotItems": Whether the server allows heat emission from hot ground storage items.
"GlacierMinTempC": Minimum temperature the server requires heat sources to be in order to melt Glacier Ice.
"WarmthCeilings": The mod adds a ceiling for Oil Lamps and Torches, so that they don't heat a player's body temp all the way. Initially on - disable if you want torches and oil lamps to act as normal warmth sources.
"HeldItemWarmth": Whether items (Oil Lamps and Torches) should warm the player when held.
"HeldItemMelting": Whether items (Oil Lamps and Torches) should melt snow when held.
"WeatherMelting": Whether the server allows ambient temperature melting.
"WeatherMeltMinTempC": Ambient melting's minimum temperature.
"WeatherMeltSpeedMult": Ambient melting speed multiplier
"WeatherMeltColumnsPerTick": How many chunk columns the ambient melt sweep examines each second. Default 12.
"WeatherMeltBlocksPerTick": Maximum number of blocks melted per sweep. Default 400.
