Modding

Mod your server.
No locked doors.

Every Nxeon game server ships with full SFTP, file manager, and console access — the same access you'd have running it in your own closet. Install whatever your game's modding platform supports. No curated allow-list, no per-mod fee, no ticket required.

How it works

Three steps, every game, every time

There's no special 'modded' plan or add-on to buy — this is how every Nxeon game server already works.

Full SFTP & file manager access

Every server ships with SFTP credentials and an in-dashboard file manager from the moment it deploys — nothing is locked behind a support ticket.

Install the loader your game uses

Forge and Fabric jars, Oxide plugins, BepInEx DLLs, a tModLoader binary — upload whatever your game's modding platform expects, exactly like on a home server.

Restart from the live console

Bring the server back up from the dashboard console or RCON, watch the log tail, and you're playing on your own build.

What you actually get

Access, not a walled garden

A lot of game hosts gate file access behind a ticket, or cap what you can install. We don't.

Nothing artificially blocked

No mod-count cap, no plugin allow-list, no "contact support to enable file access." If the game supports it, your server can run it.

Real root/file access

SSH and SFTP straight into your own server — the same access you'd have on hardware in your closet, minus the hardware.

Free backup before you experiment

Snapshot your world before installing anything untested, and roll it straight back if a mod breaks something.

Live console & RCON

Tail logs in real time and send console/RCON commands without a second tool — useful the moment a mod misbehaves.

By game

What each game's modding looks like

The real platform each community builds on — we don't reinvent it, we just don't get in its way.

FAQ

Modding, answered honestly

Can I install any mod I want?

Yes. Nxeon doesn't curate, block, or limit mods — you get full SFTP and console access, so anything your game's modding platform (Forge, Oxide, BepInEx, Steam Workshop, etc.) supports, you can install.

Do you provide a one-click mod installer?

Not today — you install mods the same way you would on a home server, via SFTP or the dashboard file manager, then restart from the console. It's direct file access, not a curated storefront.

Is there a limit on how many mods or plugins I can run?

No artificial limit from us. The practical ceiling is your plan's RAM/CPU/storage — heavier modpacks or plugin stacks just need a larger tier.

What about Steam Workshop mods?

Games with official Workshop support (ARK, Garry's Mod, Project Zomboid, Conan Exiles, and others) work the standard way — reference Workshop IDs in your server config and they mount on restart.

My mod broke my world — what now?

Roll back to a backup taken before you installed it. We'd recommend snapshotting first any time you're trying something untested.

Deploy it, then make it yours

Full file and console access from the first minute — pick a game and start modding.
