Overview
Lifeways: Core is the core mod of my (still in early-development) Lifeways series of mods, focusing on adding new and interesting ways of interacting with the basic mechanics of life in Vintage Story (food production, primarily), inspired by a diversity of cultures from around the world and their histories:
Lifeways: Core is not just a library mod, though - it adds items, devices, recipes and so on that are shared between the Lifeways mods - and which are also useful in the vanilla game!

Wet Mill
A version of the vanilla Quern that outputs only on one side - and which can output liquids into adjacent liquid containers!
When the Wet Mill grinds something that grinds into a liquid item, rather than being put into the output slot, it checks for a liquid container on the side with the spout. If that block is empty, it then procedes to check the block below that, and continues on downwards until it finds a block. If that block isn't a liquid container, it will spill the output on the ground. If it is a liquid container (and is neither full nor contains a different liquid), it will put the liquid inside it!
Condensed Milk
Make your milk last longer by simmering it with honey! As a bonus, it's extremely densely-packed nutrition!
Compatibility
Lifeways: Core is designed with compatibility in mind - but at present, there isn't much potential for conflict to begin with! The Wet Mill grinds exactly the same as the vanilla quern, by consulting the item's grindingProps. This means it can grind anything the quern can - the only additional functionality is looking for a liquid container to output into, instead of putting liquid grinding results in the output slot (which results in buggy behavior).
