Vintage Recipes

This mod tweaks some crafting recipes for Vintage Story to be more realistic and immersive.

It was created for the Tels & Friends private server, but can be used by anyone. If you do have more ideas, please let us know, we love feedback 💞

Aging oak

&nbsp;

Craft aged oak boards and logs by putting oak boards and logs into a barrel with strong tanning.

• A log requires 50 L and uses 20 L of strong tannin
• A debarked log requires 50 L and uses 15 L of strong tannin
• Boards use 1 L per board (essentially 12 L per oak log)

Rusty iron trapdoors

You can also craft rusty iron trapdoors, which are otherwise unavailable in vanilla VS.

To do so, it adds additional ingredients and tools to the recipes. Here are some examples:

Wood &amp; Metal

1. Barrels, buckets and troughs need nails and strips and a hammer
2. Solid wood doors need nails and strips and a hammer
3. Iron doors and iron trap doors need nails and strips and a hammer
4. Metal plaques and brass torch holders need a hammer
5. Helve hammers need matching metal nails and strips and a hammer

Forging

1. Bloomeries use a piece of clay to seal the bricks together
2. Forges need (hard) small stones and clay instead of cobble blocks

Tools &amp; Items

1. Saws need an additional stick and twine
2. Lanterns need hammer and saw

Compatibility With Other Mods

This mod is compatible with these mods, meaning that recipes from these mods are also tweaked to match the new recipes:
