Warm Booze
Makes achool give you warmth. It can even protect you from hypothermia!
Description
Alchool doesn't have alot of uses in vanilla!
This mod makes alchool a bit more usefull, by warming the player up the more intoxicated they are!
It can even protect you from hypothermia! (not medically approved)
Fun for the whole family!
For even more fun I recommend using the mod SlowTox!
Disclamer: This mod is not realistic and it isn't meant to be. In real life alchool lowers your body temperature and could kill you faster when in low temperature environments!
How does it work?
Simple:
- Make alchool;
- Put it in a carryable container;
- Drink said alchool;
- Profit! Oh, and no more cold, of course.
Distilled alchools are much better at warming you up.
Technical Details
In vanilla, fermented alchools (wines, ales and mead) give 0.15 intoxication.
Distilled alchool (brandy, whiskey, distilled mead and aqua vitae) gives 1.10 intoxication, the max possible in vanilla (afaik).
The mod gives warmth to the player the more intoxication they have and it acts as if they were close to a heat source.
It only runs on the server, so no need for the clients to have the mod.
With the default configurations, drinking distilled alchool can warm the player up in a -15ºC environment and no clothes in a minute or so
The colder the slower it is, and it slowly goes away as the intoxication fades out
Configuration
The server running the mod has a config file where you can configure two parameters for the mod:
- WarmthPerIntoxication: The warmth value to multiply with the intoxication. (Default: 5)
- MaxWarmthFromIntoxication: The max total warmth the player can get from intoxication (Default: 5)
Mod Compatibility
I tested this mod with SlowTox and RealGrapes and is most likelly compatible with most other mods.
If you find some mod that it isn't compatible with this one, do say and I'll update this section!
