Which Ore Is Which?

Can't memorize all the ore and mineral names?

This mod helps clarify the types of ores, minerals, and gems in their names and tooltips.

The way this mod changes the names works as follows:

(<span style="color: #27ae60;">green text is vanilla</span>, <span style="color: #8e44ad;">purple text is from Geology Additions</span>, <span style="color: #2880b9;">blue text is this mod<span style="color: #000000;">)</span></span>

- Ores that can be smelt into metals

Ore blocks such as copper and smithsonite (zinc ore added by GA) will be called "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Copper ore (malachite)</span>" and "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Zinc ore (smithsonite)</span>" instead of "<span style="color: #27ae60;">Copper ore</span>" and "<span style="color: #8e44ad;">Smithsonite ore</span>".

Nuggets will be called "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Iron ore (magnetite) nugget</span>",&nbsp;"<span style="color: #2880b9;">Copper ore (azurite) nugget</span>" etc. instead of "<span style="color: #27ae60;">Nugget (magnetite)</span>", "<span style="color: #8e44ad;">Nugget (azurite)</span>" etc.

- Minerals with&nbsp;uses in crafting

The names of these common minerals are not changed: flint, quartz, and sulfur.

Less common ones will have "<span style="color: #2880b9;">(mineral)</span>" in the names of either the block form or the mined items, such as "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Alum (mineral) in sandstone</span>" (block), "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Olivine (mineral)</span>" (item), etc.

- Minerals without uses in crafting

Currently there are some minerals that exist in the game but have no uses: corundum, fluorite, graphite, kernite, phosphorite, and uranium ore.

To help identify these useless minerals their names will not have the "<span style="color: #2880b9;">(mineral)</span>" suffix!

- Consistent naming of the three types of coal

<span style="color: #2880b9;">Anthracite coal</span>, <span style="color: #2880b9;">Bituminous coal <span style="color: #000000;">(sometimes called "<span style="color: #27ae60;">Black coal</span>" in vanilla)</span></span>, and <span style="color: #2880b9;">Lignite coal<span style="color: #000000;"> (sometimes called "<span style="color: #27ae60;">Brown coal</span>" in vanilla).</span></span>

- Gems

All gems will have "<span style="color: #2880b9;">(gem)</span>" in the names of either the block form or the mined items, such as "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Emerald (medium grade gem) in basalt</span>" (block), "<span style="color: #2880b9;">Rough diamond (gem)</span>" (item), etc.

These changes are also reflected in the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">prospecting filter</span> in the map, so instead of a list of random names you get a bit more detail.
