Adventurer's Helping Hand

Sensible autolooting. More adventuring, less stopping to pick things up.

Collect eligible loot within 12 metres, even while mounted. Choose loot in a native mouse/controller menu; choices save automatically.

Version 1.1.0 — Windows Steam local single-player.

What's new in 1.1.0

 • The collector, 12-metre radius, filters and native checks are unchanged. These refinements do not claim to fix all game hitching.
 •
Choose your loot
• Collection uses a true 12-metre sphere and the game's native interactions. Groups can be switched independently. Eligible saved drops are recovered when their live objects become ready. Ordinary keyed chests retain their normal key checks; special-event and nonordinary chests are excluded.
 • The menu covers Worthwhile Drops, Food & Ingredients, Early-Game Essentials, Natural Materials, Pal Materials, Production Materials, Pal Eggs, Effigies, Journal Entries, Roadside Junk, and Ordinary & Keyed Chests.
 • Food & Ingredients and Early-Game Essentials start OFF. Essentials covers Wood, Stone and Fiber. Pal Eggs offers OFF, ALL, LARGE (Large and Huge), and HUGE.
 • Base Quiet starts OFF. When enabled, it pauses collection inside an active Palbox boundary and its configured margin. Leave Base Quiet OFF for ranch collection.
 •
Controls and saved settings
•

H: open the settings window during gameplay.
Controller: open Options and select Helping Hand below Journals.
B / Escape or Close: close settings. The Options route returns to Options.
Alt + H: toggle the whole mod. Alt + Shift + H: toggle Early-Game Essentials.
• Choices save in Scripts/AdventureAutoLoot_State.ini. Advanced options and custom keys are in config.lua. Set NativeMenuEnabled=false only if you prefer the older notification switchboard: H selects a setting and Shift+H changes it. The new menu is currently in English.
 •
Install or update through Workshop
• [olist]
Save and close Palworld. Back up Scripts/AdventureAutoLoot_State.ini and any custom config.lua edits.
Subscribe to Helping Hand and UE4SS Experimental (Palworld) by Oak. Let Steam finish downloading.
Enable both in Palworld's Options > Mod Management, apply changes and restart when prompted.
Load your world and use H or Options > Helping Hand.
 • [/olist]
 • Workshop installs the Lua mod, audio helper and new menu PAK together. PalSchema is not required. The Lua folders are under Mods/NativeMods/UE4SS/Mods/AdventureAutoLoot and HelpingHandOriginalAudio.
 • No saved state file is shipped. Workshop redeployment can replace installed folders, so retain your state/config backups and restore saved choices if necessary. Reapply custom edits to the new config.lua.
 • Use one UE4SS installation and one active Helping Hand copy. Follow the loader author's guidance before switching from manual UE4SS. Do not install the Nexus ZIP over this Workshop item. The manual edition is on Nexus Mods.
 •
Sounds, Journal notices and inventory
• Effigy and Journal sounds follow confirmed automatic collection. Closely timed sounds queue so the complete cue can finish. The helper uses Windows application audio and does not follow Palworld's internal sound-effects slider.
 • Journal notices use the game's localized title when available, with an English fallback. English notices have been checked in-game; other display languages have not been visually tested.
 • With Palworld's native stop-pickup-on-overflow-weight option enabled, Helping Hand checks the complete loose-drop payload against remaining weight capacity before requesting it. Chest and roadside-junk contents are not covered by that advance weight check.
 •
Compatibility and support
• Tested on Palworld 1.0.5 / UE4SS 2281fa31 in Windows Steam local single-player: mouse/controller menus, saved choices, Options access, sounds and appearance. Collection tests include mounted collection, saved ranch drops, collectible sounds and Journal notices.
 • Online co-op, remote clients, dedicated servers, Game Pass and Linux/Proton are not validated. Non-authority clients do not issue loot interactions. Gameplay validation used the manual installation; Workshop packaging is checked separately, without a separate complete Workshop gameplay run.
 • For support, include mod/game/UE4SS versions, affected categories, Base Quiet setting and whether missed drops were saved or new. Set LogLevel=1 in config.lua for diagnostics (off by default). Preserve UE4SS.log before relaunching.
 •
Uninstall
• Disable Helping Hand in Mod Management, apply changes and restart, then unsubscribe. Keep a settings backup for reinstalling.
 •
Support me on Ko-fi
• Support future projects: RsdntEvle on Ko-fi. Appreciated; never required.
 •
My Other Mods
