Azomer's Passive Skill Expansion
Welcome to Azomer's Passive Skill Expansion, or APSE in short. A Palschema mod adding a variety of new and exciting passive skills into Palworld to build your ultimate Pal!
A Greatly Expanded Arsenal
APSE expands the family of passive skills from the initial 114 up to 222! Including 10 Breeding Mutation and 8 World Tree passive skills! The ways the new passive skills interact with you are almost limitless, from your standard attack, defense, work speed, and other bonuses already present in the game, to new health bonuses, jumping power bonuses and more! The way passive skills generate on wild Pals was changed as well, to make obtaining Pals with rarer passive skills more satisfying.
Vanilla Passive Skills, Revitalized
APSE also looks into Vanilla passive skills, giving them necessary quality of life changes via targeted buffs. Passive skills that previously had little to no place in the passive skill building process now do. Purely negative passive skills no longer exist under APSE! Rather, they were turned into trade-off passive skills in a style of what for example Musclehead or Work Slave does.
Pal Surgery Table Expansion
Pal Surgery Table has been expanded upon using a unique Uniplant system. The amount of passive skills you can put on your Pals is extraordinary. Seek the documentation to find out exactly how the Uniplant system works!
New Legendary Pals to (Re)discover
Four Pals were chosen to be promoted into legendary status to hold the two new Legend passive skill alternatives! You may know them well, you may even have fought them before, but who are they, really? Well, that is up to you to find out! Can you find them all?
Other Changes
Among all those features, quality of life changes were made to improve gameplay. As an example, the already mentioned legendary Pals had their stats, movesets, and their general behavior looked into to make them feel like real legendary Pals! Certain active skills were changed to fit the new legendary Pals better, alongside making them generally more useful.
Documentation
APSE has a dedicated document, explaining all the changes, see here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ssiXtUR6mwNz6Q2CZpPQ6len5uJWdevBvsTqEPmhEII/edit?usp=sharing I heavily recommend checking out the "Gameplay Recommendations" section within the document to get yourself started with the mod better!
For those more curious, you can check out how the mod has evolved over time in its own dedicated archive here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qCsK0_VA7JpeeWSQ8pSPncY8xQ5sMptKUTbVLCJuTYk/edit?usp=sharing
