CrossBaseCrafting

Makes food boxes and regular chests accessible across base boundaries for all crafting stations. Use ingredients from containers in any of your bases when cooking, crafting, or brewing.

Features

  • Cross-base access for food boxes AND regular chests
  • Works with all crafting stations and build menu (cooker, cooking pot, workbench, pharmacy, etc.)
  • Automatic registration — no configuration needed
  • This is only for crafting, food is not shared to feed pal across all bases.

Requirements

Installation

After you subscribe to the mod, do these steps to enable: 1. Launch the game and wait until you get to the title screen. 2. Go to Options > Mod Management and make sure Enable Mod is set to ON. 3. Make sure the checkbox next to CrossBaseCrafting is CHECKED. 4. Click the blue Save button and the game will now restart. 5. Once the game starts up again, the mod should now be enabled.

How it works

Place food boxes and chests in any of your bases. When you open any crafting station, ingredients from containers in ALL your bases will be available for crafting recipes.

Notes

  • Works with all crafting stations
  • All containers shared no exceptions
  • Works in single-player and dedicated servers (didn't test changed since language migration, this functionnality could not work)

Changelog

v3.0.0-cpp

  • Fixed the small freeze you could feel every now and then, especially when entering a base or when the ground was still loading around you
  • The mod no longer redoes the same heavy work dozens of times a second while the world is loading
  • Your bases are checked far less often, so nothing interrupts you while you walk around
  • Items from your other bases no longer hang around in your inventory after you leave a base, so the contents of your bases can no longer end up on your corpse
  • If something unexpected happens, the mod quietly switches cross-base sharing off instead of letting the game crash
  • Cleaned up the code

v2.0.3-cpp

  • Fixed the Workshop install rule: the package no longer declares a source folder that does not exist, so the game now installs dlls/main.dll into Mods/NativeMods/UE4SS/Mods/CrossBaseCrafting/. Since v2.0.0 the mod could be enabled while nothing was ever copied, which made every other feature appear broken
  • The UE4SS log now reports why sharing is unavailable instead of failing silently

v2.0.2-cpp

  • Cross-base building now works: materials stored in your other bases are counted and consumed when placing structures
  • The build menu shows the pooled totals even if no crafting station was opened first
  • The shared storage union repairs itself when a base's containers are still loading
  • Quieter UE4SS log in release builds (debug diagnostics are compiled out)

v2.0.1-cpp

  • Fixed construction requests failing when wood or stone came from another base
  • Revalidates and repairs the shared building inventory immediately before placement

v2.0.0-cpp

  • Migrated from Lua to a native C++ UE4SS mod
  • Added persistent cross-base storage registration
  • Added safe world-transition restoration
  • Reduced per-frame work and Blueprint callback overhead
  • Removed obsolete Lua installation rules

v1.0.0

  • Initial Workshop release
  • Native UFunction registration for reliable cross-base access
  • Camp-filtered registration for optimal performance
  • Stale entry cleanup
