Spicy Extra Passives

New passive skills for your Pals. They're extra: nothing in vanilla is changed or removed. The new passives join the normal pool, so wild Pals roll them and breeding passes them on like any other passive.

They cannot be installed from the surgery table (except for rainbow implants) because it would be too easy to make broken OP combos.

Tested in single-player. Multiplayer is untested.

The new passives

Gold: on-hit statuses

• Hot Stuff: this Pal's attacks build up Burn.
• Chill Out: this Pal's attacks build up Freeze.
• Venomous: this Pal's attacks build up Poison.
• Heart of Darkness: this Pal's attacks build up Blind.
• Ivy League: this Pal's attacks build up Ivy-Covered.
• Electrifying: this Pal's attacks build up Electrified.
• Soaker: this Pal's attacks build up Wet.
• Mudslinger: this Pal's attacks build up Muddy.
• Bully: this Pal deals +50% damage to enemies suffering any status effect.
• Overwhelming: status effects inflicted by this Pal last twice as long.
• Grudge: while suffering any status effect, this Pal fights with +100% Attack.
• Robust: immune to knockback, flinching, Burn and Poison.

Gold: element auras

• Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Ice, Ground, Dark and Dragon Aura: this Pal's attacks deal that element's damage, whatever they look like. A Water Pal with Fire Aura scorches Grass Pals. Every hit has one element, so a Pal with several auras uses only one of them.

Gold: helping you while in your party

• Soft Footed: no fall damage.
• Lava Love: no lava damage.
• Collector: Capture Strength +1.
• Stealthy: enemies are less likely to spot you.
• Floaty: low-gravity jumps and falls.
• Lifter: carrying capacity +500.
• Propeller: glider speed doubled.
• Blacksmith: your weapons and armor don't lose durability.
• Guarding: your shield takes 30% less damage.
• Booster: +1 jump (a double jump).
• Climbing Coach: climb 50% faster.
• Egg Thief: picking up a Pal Egg has a 20% chance of giving one extra.
• Mentor: all party Pals gain +25% EXP.

Gold: at a base

• Researcher: research speed +10%.
• Director: expedition rewards +10%.
• Motivator: expeditions take 10% less time.

Red (rank -1)

• Bland: eggs this Pal parents at a Breeding Farm hatch with no passive skills. A drawback, although can be used strategically for breeding.

Rainbow

• Zookeeper: while in your party, Capture Strength +2.
• Climbing God: while in your party, climb 100% faster.
• Neutrino: Neutral attack damage +50%.
• Ringmaster: while in your party, your summoned Pal fights with +25% Attack.
• Lone Wolf: if this is the only Pal in your party, it fights with +100% Attack.
• Relentless: active skill cooldowns 50% shorter, Attack -20%.
• Reload God: while summoned, you reload ten times faster.
• Ammo God: while summoned, spent ammo instantly refills: unlimited ammo, with normal reloads. Pair it with Reload God for fast reloads too.
• Sanctuary: while in your party, your shield takes 50% less damage.
• Respite: while in your party, enemies suffering any status effect deal half damage to you and your summoned Pal.
• Effortless: while summoned or ridden, this Pal never runs out of stamina. Defense -10%.
• Superior: Attack, Defense, Work Speed and Movement Speed +15%, and +15% max HP in battle.
• Berserk: Attack and Movement Speed +25%.
• Battle Worthy: Attack and Defense +20%.
• Survivor: fights with +10% Attack for every 10% of HP it's missing, up to +90% when nearly knocked out.
• Born Worker: never gets hungry, and its SAN never drops.
• Rich Pickings: while summoned, enemies defeated by it or you drop +100% items.
• Invisible: while summoned, wild Pals don't notice you unless you or it attack them.
• Early Access: when you get this Pal (caught, hatched, rescued, or given the passive by implant), you also get its Pal Gear (saddle, harness...) if you don't have it yet.
• Gladiator: in the Arena, this Pal fights with +50% Attack and 20% shorter active skill cooldowns.
• Nukeswapper: Attack +50%, but active skill cooldowns are 40% longer.
• Aristocrat: items sell for +30% (a rarer, stronger Noble).
• Spicy: half of this Pal's attacks become a random attack from another Pal, with that attack's own power and element.

World Tree Like the game's own World Tree passives, these only roll on World Tree Pals.

• Kingmaker: Pals you obtain while this Pal is summoned start with 1 star, as if condensed.
• Freak Show: while this Pal works at a base, Breeding Farm eggs are 10x as likely to be mutations (cakes' mutation bonus included).
• Spice God: every attack this Pal makes becomes a random attack from any Pal, and Attack +100%.

Every rainbow and World Tree passive is also available as a Disposable Implant from the Ancient Relic Recycler, alongside the other rare implants. The gold passives can't be bought at the Pal Surgery Table; Bland (red) can.

Status passives work every way round: wild Pals with them will burn, freeze or poison your Pals, and you.
