Important

No longer requires Ranch Animation Resource! BE SURE TO UNSUBSCRIBE TO IT!

Incompatible with True Monster Rancher (Pak). Pick one!

After you subscribe to the mod, do these steps to enable the mod:

1. Launch the game and wait until you get to the title screen. 2. Go to Options > Mod Management and make sure Enable Mod is set to ON. 3. Make sure the checkbox next to UE4SS, Pal Schema, Ranch Animation Resource & True Monster Rancher is CHECKED 4. Click the blue Save button and the game will now restart. 5. Once the game starts up again, this mod should now be enabled.

If the mod is not working, try these steps before reporting: 1. Close the game. 2. Go to Steam library 3. Right-click Palworld 4. Click "Browse Local Files" 5. Work your way to the "Palworld\Mods\NativeMods\UE4SS\Mods\PalSchema\mods" directory and delete the "TrueMonsterRancher" folder. 6. Start the game. Files should be reacquired
Description
A simple mod which allows monsters to drop more items. Yes, now your Vixy may bring you the coveted Legendary sphere, and your Melpaca may make Electric Organs! Condensing increases the rates.
Compatibility
True Monster Rancher is compatible with most existing mods. However, it uses PalSchema to patch the "DT_ItemLotteryDataTable" datatable, and could be incompatible with any mod that changes the same lines in this file. In this case, the mod which loads first will have it's lines overwritten. Complete Game Rebalance is one known mod to do this. It should not conflict with new lines, as my unique identifiers for new lines are very unlikely to be repeated. It can be installed on an existing world with no issues. It can be removed at any time. It has no known incompatibilities on a server, so long as it is installed on the server.
Translations (Pal Schema)
If you would like to translate the text modified by the mod, see Intro to Translations. The English localization identifiers can be found in the translations.json file in the mod.

[b]
Presets
After installing, you will find a number of archives in the Palworld\Mods\NativeMods\UE4SS\Mods\PalSchema\mods\TrueMonsterRancher\presets folder. "1. Reduced Rates" halves most drop rates and "2. More Reduced Rates" reduces most drop rates to one tenth of the original. Both of these presets affect vanilla drops as well. When necessary, single gold coin drops are used as empty drops. There are also files for removing drops for all Pals affected by True Monster Rancher. Open any archive and extract the contents to the root TMR folder that contains the presets folder. Overwrite files when asked. You can only have one of the two presets at a time, but all drop removal files work together. The files may be overwritten by Palworld, Steam, True Monster Rancher, etc updates and need to be installed again.
Bug Reports
Ensure you have allowed the mod to run long enough. Pal Spheres being dropped by Vixy, for instance, is normal and does not mean the mod isn't working! Before posting if you think the mod is broken, try the following:

If you know how, find your UE4SS-settings.ini file inside the ue4ss folder. Change the 'GuiConsoleEnabled' and 'GuiConsoleVisible' values from a 0 to a 1 and restart the game. When launching the game, you should see a new window that looks like this. In the box to the left of the 'Search log' text, type 'json' without quotes. If you see lines including 'Vixy.json', 'Caprity.json', etc then the mod was loaded properly and is working! Make sure to set the UE4SS-settings.ini values back if you don't like this window loading everytime.
If the above feels too challenging, locate your PalSchema\mods\True Monster Rancher\raw folder and open the Vixy.json file in a text editor such as Notepad. You will need an uncondensed Vixy for this part, but you should be able to quickly understand what is going on in these files and utilize the same concept for another Pal you already have access to if necessary. In the first field named "761" you will notice the FieldName is "CharacterSpawnItem_CuteFoxRank1". This correlates to a Vixy without any stars from condensing. Change the 'WeightInSlot' from 0.043 to 100.0 and change the 'StaticItemId' from "Bone" to "Cake". Relaunch the game and wait a few minutes with your Vixy in the ranch. It should drop a Cake within minutes, confirming the mod is working! Make sure to undo the changes (unless you really want guaranteed cake) afterwards.
Post if your issues continue after trying one (preferably both) of these steps.
