Palworld doesn’t have a real pause button — you can open menus, but the world keeps running. Your pals keep working, time keeps passing, and anything can happen while you’re tabbed out or stuck mid-menu.

TruePause adds a single hotkey that cleanly freezes everything (AI, timers, physics) and a second press resumes exactly where you left off. It’s built on Unreal Engine’s own engine-level pause, so it’s a full stop — not a “try to stop things one-by-one” workaround.

Tech note: TruePause waits until a world is fully loaded before activating, then toggles Unreal Engine’s engine-level pause flag on hotkey press (and toggles it back on the next press). Because it pauses the engine clock, it’s a total freeze of the world state. Single-player only (it does not pause multiplayer), and if the “Game PAUSED” notification doesn’t show while the world is frozen, that’s cosmetic only.[/quote] [h2]⚠️ Status: abandoned / open permissions[/h2] I am no longer actively maintaining this. This mod is single-player only and does not pause multiplayer sessions. [*]World is frozen but no “Game PAUSED” text Cosmetic only — the pause is still working.
