Work Suitability Randomizer
Every pal is born a unique worker.
One rule: every work skill on every pal rolls its own number from that species' normal value. Rolls happen the moment a pal spawns in the wild (just like the game rolls passive skills), so everything you catch comes with its numbers already set - instantly visible, permanently fixed, no two alike.
- Each work skill rolls separately, per individual pal
- The roll auto-adjusts to each job's base: any job can reach rank 1 AND rank 10, no matter where it starts
- Rarity stretches over each pal's room: staying near base is common, and hitting either extreme is a ~1-in-500 jackpot for every pal alike
- Rolls are seeded by each pal's own ID: permanent, re-log proof, no re-roll scumming
Your Lamball might be a 1-in-500 Handiwork 10 miracle sheep. Your JetDragon might crater to Gathering 1. Same species, different workers - catching a good one actually means something.
Works with modded pals too (PalVariety2026 variants, APSE legendaries, any future species mods) - the mod reads each pal's real jobs at runtime, no pal list to maintain.
Vanilla is untouched otherwise: species keep their normal jobs, and rank-up ticket items still stack on top.
Requires: UE4SS Experimental (Palworld) from the Workshop. Note: pals you owned from before installing get their rolls on your next login (relog once to see their new numbers). Everything caught after installing shows instantly. Server owners: server-side install rules included.
Want the species baselines shuffled too? Pair this with [Species Work Shuffle]
Tuning the randomness (SPREAD setting)
Want rarer jackpots or wilder chaos? Create a text file called WorkUniqueConfig.lua next to Palworld-Win64-Shipping.exe (in Pal\Binaries\Win64\) containing:
return { SPREAD = 0.5 }

1.0 = default behavior

0.5 = sharper curve: about 60% of jobs roll no change, big jumps become very rare

2.0 = flatter curve: chaos mode, big changes far more common
The file survives mod updates. Delete it to return to default. Settings apply to newly rolled pals only (already-rolled pals keep their ranks, as always).Highlights
