How it works
- Suit radio: any GPS signal within 200 m of you is always shown, just like the range of the vanilla suit radio.
- Antenna network: on top of that, antennas extend your reach. A GPS signal is shown when it lies within the broadcast range of an antenna that is connected to you.
- Relaying: antennas act as relays. If two antennas are within range of each other, everything visible to one is visible to the other, so a chain of antennas carries signals over long distances.
- Your own antennas only: only working, broadcasting antennas owned by you or shared with your faction count. Enemy, neutral and unowned antennas are ignored.
- Live updates: the network is re-evaluated once per second. Signals appear and disappear as you move in or out of range, or as an antenna on a moving ship brings a signal into range.
Good to know
- Hidden GPS entries stay in your GPS list. They are only removed from the HUD.
- GPS entries you hid yourself are left alone. The mod only restores the ones it hid.
- When you remove the mod, the signals it hid are shown again.
- An antenna must be powered, working and set to broadcast to count.
- The suit radio is always treated as on, with a fixed 200 m range.
Tips
Place an antenna on your base and on your rovers to keep your GPS markers visible while you travel. Chain antennas to cover a larger area.
Warnings
Not tested in multiplayer (though it should work). Use at your own risk.
