Receiving this great feedback is seriously motivating me to do more! as i said before i'm not that much of a person for lore. but i did what came to mind, and i still have a lot in mind! i'm mainly commenting to post some statements ini reply to some comments i've recieved the past week.
- This ships main purpose is to be a Primary Offensive weapon itself, not carry a whole array of turrets scattered around the exterior hull of the ship through front and back. The ship literally is the weapon itself! (in hopes of Large Ship weapons ie. Cannon/Railgun/Laser)
- Since i mentioned above that the ships main purpose is to be a weapon itself offensively, it's not going to feature other things you'd find in other ships, like large hangers or cargo bays/ refineries and engineering rooms and so on so forth
- I understand that it is rather extensively greeble'd, having deep experience from past voxel games, i've grown to abhor flat surfaces and really spice things up with detailing as much as i can which is where greebling comes to play. and yes i'm not really fond of flat surfaces but i won't turn away from anyone's creations just because it doesnt fit my style, everyone has a style of their own, and everyone should express it!
- Major apologies to those who are lagging due to the un-optimized status of the game itself, the ship is Extremely greebled and lot's of shadow's are casted on the shapes.
- The Engines were the first part that i worked on. I had an idea of having an organic/curved engine design, i really like'd the curved look of the main engine design in the middle, and it continued to the bottom section as well.
- if i can remember well, an approximate 40-50 hours total have been spent on this ship, due to the fact that i constantly go back and forth and polish it minute after minute, some nights i've gone restless and spent a whole night's worth of sleep to bring my imagination to life in-game, it really does bring back the childhood in me.
- I'm not practical sometimes, but my next project i'm trying to make it really practical and useful yet still look beautiful as i've imagined it so far.
- NO SHIP IS TOO BIG!
If there are any other questions you fellow engineers want to ask me, drop a comment below or even contact me on the Space Engineers forums where i also unveil my projects upon completion. I even take requests! (so far i've failed one due to ship weight, i get carried away!) i'm again really happy that i made it to Top of the Week and even have a spot on Top of All Time! it's a really good feeling, i hope to see you guys make great ships and stations as well, See you starside!
