Installation — please read

Subscribing and enabling the mod in a world does not install every feature.

The world mod applies the included interface texture atlas after the world loads. The complete menu appearance, background videos and intro replacement require the bundled client-side Content files.

• Subscribe and enable Better UI in your world's mod list.
• Close Space Engineers.
• Open your Space Engineers installation folder. Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers
• Back up the files you are about to replace in Content\Textures\GUI and Content\Videos.
• If you previously installed the DLL-patched version, restore the original game files using Steam's file verification before continuing. Verification may also restore your manually replaced textures and videos.
• Open the downloaded mod folder. Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\3815720463
• Copy only the bundled Content folder, located in ClientSide Replacement, into your Space Engineers installation folder.
• Merge the folders and confirm file replacement.
• Launch the game normally through Steam.

Copy into the existing Content folder. Do not create Content\Content.

Compatibility and updates

This version changes interface graphics and keeps the game's original menu actions. News, DLC advertising, newsletter elements and Quick Start remain available. The additional Exit to Windows button from the previous DLL-patched version is no longer included.

The mod contains no dedicated HUD overrides, allowing dedicated HUD mods to provide their own HUD graphics.

Game updates or Steam file verification may restore manually replaced textures and videos. Reapply the bundled Content files when needed.

Uninstall

Remove the mod from your world's mod list and restore your original backed-up Content files.

Removing the Workshop subscription alone does not undo the manually installed textures or videos.
